Is this dress nice or hideous

I really struggle with summer. In winter I have a uniform. Skinny jeans, vest and jumper and a black dress for work. I have no summer clothes that fit. I've see this dress, which I would wear in the day with flip flops and maybe evening dresses up with heels. The only problem is that I can't tell if it's pretty or hideous. I'm a short and busty size 12. Dark hair. m.esprit.co.uk/colour-graduated-lace-sheath-dress-047EO1E008_425?referrer=default

I love it but I like all stuff with fauna and flora on.

theaveragewife · 06/04/2017 14:35

I think it's beautiful, but am also a flowery kind of person!

KoalaDownUnder · 06/04/2017 14:36

I like it.

BillywigSting · 06/04/2017 14:36

I think the print is too big sorry.

We shorties do better with a smaller print that won't swallow us up.

Not sure if the cut would be flattering or a bit tent like too if you are busy.

It's a pretty dress, I just don't think it would suit sorry.

Misspilly88 · 06/04/2017 14:36

Lovely

BillywigSting · 06/04/2017 14:37

*busty! Stupid autocorrect.

ErrolTheDragon · 06/04/2017 14:55

It looks good on the model, but I'm not sure it would work on 'short and busty' The colour graduation might work better on a pear-shape, but the cut wouldn't

nannyplumislostinspace · 06/04/2017 15:03

Thank you everyone. I'm not worried about the shape, I have similar, it's more the pattern! I'm going to go for it and will report back!

That's it. You need to try it on to be sure.

burnishedsilver · 06/04/2017 15:20

Oh that's nice.
I'm tempted to buy one myself.

RatherBeRiding · 06/04/2017 15:21

Pattern is gorgeous. If you're not worried about the shape then definitely go for it.

burnishedsilver · 06/04/2017 15:22

Actually, on closer inspection, it's a pity its 100% polyester. Its a lot of money for polyester.

FrenchLavender · 06/04/2017 15:24

It's very pretty but it wouldn't suit everyone. You'd need to be very slim without too much boob I think.

doctorboo · 06/04/2017 17:09

I love it! I'm all curvy so I'm not sure I'd personally look good in it, but I hope it works for you

bojorojo · 06/04/2017 17:11

I think it's fine. Bold florals are plentiful this year. As are smaller florals but this has lots of colours in it for accessories etc.

a better view.

RicketyCricket · 06/04/2017 17:23

I think with the print and the lace and the scallop detail at the hem it's far too dressy for daytime wear.

I also don't think it would be particularly flattering and I say that as a fellow short n booby size 12.

Basically i think you can do much better for casual dresses.

Maudlinmaud · 06/04/2017 17:23

Lovely. Yes the florals are everywhere. I just bought a new fiorelli bag in floral print to get in on the action.

BusterGonad · 06/04/2017 17:24

I like it, it's not my shape of dress but that's due to what looks better on my frame nothing to do with the dress. Florals are my all time favorite.Grin

ScarlettDarling · 06/04/2017 17:31

It's so pretty, love it.

Look in Oasis for other things with similar floral prints. this dress and this one have a similar feel. this one too

nannyplumislostinspace · 06/04/2017 17:52

Rickety Cricket I would love some suggestions if you have any? I'm really struggling to find anything I like this year!

Sciurus83 · 06/04/2017 17:53

Yes, love it! Caveat that I also love flora and fauna theme clothing!

nannyplumislostinspace · 06/04/2017 17:54

Burnished Silver. I totally agree about the polyester! I can't seem to find cotton anywhere.
