Really lovely posh lipstick for a special treat

Hi ladies,

After a few very busy weeks at work and home I fancy treating myself to a posh lipstick. I want something fairly neutral/ pink. Not too beige because my lips are quite pink naturally so beige lipsticks make me look a bit ill. Would prefer a neutral kind of colour because if I'm going to spend £££ on a lipstick I want to be able to wear it loads and I'm a bit scared of bright lipstick (although I always think they look fantastic on other peopl). Also I have dry lips so need something actively moisturing. Definitely not matte. Been thinking about the YSL shine one in the gorgeous packaging, but not sure whether to go for it or not. What would you lovely ladies recommended? 😀

Hi ladies,

Just thought I'd update you. I finally managed to get out today and look for my new lipstick. Tried loads of your recommendations so was spoilt for choice. In the end I went for the new ysl tint in balm lipstick in shade 1. It's quite sheer, but has just enough colour. Feels gorgeous on and is really pretty for sring/summer. I love it. Thank again everyone x

Chanel, YSL and NARS are all quite good, I have family who work for an international makeup brand so often i will get bag and bags of free makeup to try because they are quite generous to staff, and in turn generous to me because my cousins are not 'girly girls' - so I get all the stuff.

For an expensive treat I personally would recommend Chanel or YSL - nice colours, luxurious feel and moisturising. For something a little budget friendly - NARS is brilliant, as is Charlotte Tilbury. Smile

Thanks for the update! Glad you got your lipstick, plus it would be silly to go all the way to the shops and not get an eyeshadow too!! I ended up buying skin care after this thread and I'm not sorry! It arrived beginning of this week and skin is already softer and better for it.
