What are your absolute must have beauty products?

I haven't bought any new beauty products for a while but I'm going to buy some new mascara online later (probably Benefit roller lash).

I fancy treating myself to another couple of bits and wondered what everyone's must haves are for inspiration?

Skincare rather than makeup, though am a junkie for both. (and of course, perfume)

Repeat purchases are L'Occitane Divine Cream, Astral blue pot, Body Shop Chamomile cleansing butter, Liz Earle C/P, Olay anti-wrinkle acid toner, Carmex lipbalm.

Repeat makeup purchases: Maybelline Dream Satin liquid foundation (have, in my collection, Chanel Les Beiges, Chanel Perfection Lumiere, Dior BB Nude, Armani Lasting Silk, Clinique Laser Repair, but the only re-purchase so far has been the Maybelline. (the Armani may well be though, it's a bit good!) powder- Clinique superpowder compact. Been using it for donkey's years.

CantChoose · 26/03/2017 13:59

Estée Lauder double wear, I have all three varieties!
Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream as overnight lip balm.
Liz Earle C&P.
Lancôme hypnose mascara.
I'm never without these in my stash :D

dinosaursandtea · 26/03/2017 15:48

Smashbox Photo Finish gel primer. My makeup lasts FOREVER.

Gingernaut · 26/03/2017 15:53

Sunscreen. I burn on cloudy days. Sad

RedMetamorphosis · 26/03/2017 15:56

I base it on things that I have re-bought multiple times.

Make up:
Urban Decay One and Done
Armani Luminous Silk
Bobbi Brown bronzer
Bobbi Brown eyebrow pencil in Grey
Shu Uemura eyelash curlers
Maybelline mascara - the pink one with green lid. I've been using this for 14 years.

Skincare
Alpha H cleanser
Clinique Take the Day Off Balm
Clarins Blue Orchid oil
Origins green moisturising mask
Nivea Daily moisturiser.

Toner-wise I flick between First Aid Beauty, Nip & Fab and Pixi.

GladAllOver · 26/03/2017 15:56

Ditto. Sun factor 50. Don't even possess a lipstick - last one dried out!

knowler · 26/03/2017 15:58

The Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow pallets are gorgeous especially uptown girl.

stumblymonkeyremix · 26/03/2017 16:00

Fab, thanks, I shall take a look through all of these later and let you know what I end up purchasing!

Peaches and Clean cream cleanser. It's more or less the only product that I buy every time my old one runs out. I sometimes try something else but it's never as good.

SoftlyCatchyMonkey1 · 26/03/2017 16:02

Estée Lauder double wear foundation
Max factor pressed powder
Rimmel exaggerate liquid eyeliner

Everything else I chop and change

SimplyNigella · 26/03/2017 16:27

The things I always repurchase are:

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
YSL Touche Éclat
Benefit They're Real mascara
Urban Decay Potion eyelid primer
Nars Multiple in Orgasm
Weleda Wild Rose Smoothing mask (although I use it as a moisturiser as well as a mask)
Skin Republic Collagen sheet mask
Eve Lom Cleanser
Superdrug B. Micellar cleansing oil
Carmex lip balm (original)
Sarah Chapman Overnight Facial
Eve Lom Dynaspot
Nip+Fab Extreme Glycolic pads
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream

Everything else I tend to try something different each time I need a replacement.

45DegreestoReality · 26/03/2017 19:22

Lily lolo BB cream. Light enough in colour to suit my pasty skin, light enough in coverage so as not to look like obvious makeup. Sort of "soft focus" rather than completely evened out.

I'm still searching for the perfect SPF that I will repurchase. I have my eye on a few thanks to suggestions on here!

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 26/03/2017 19:26

Clinique Moisture Surge
L'Occitane Creme Divine
Clarins Serum SOS
Ren Retinoid Oil
La Roche Posay Toleriane Cleanser
Clarins Blue Orchid Oil

However, have tried Darphin Intral Creme and Serum and am really tempted.

DebiNewberry · 26/03/2017 19:30

make up wise the only thing I consistently rebuy is laura mercier tinted moisturiser.

akwan · 26/03/2017 19:41

Pixi overnight mask

Emma Hardie cleansing balm

Decleor neroli balm and oil

Dermalogica age smart spf50

Vichy idealia serum

All repeat buys

W8woman · 26/03/2017 21:14

Kerastase shampoo and conditioner
Touche Eclat
MAC Studio Fix powder foundation
Clinique Black Honey lipstick
Guerlain liquid eyeliner in the glass pot with the long brush

I have been repeat buying all of the above for 20+ years and have a set of the make-up in my desk, my car, and my bag. Blusher, bronzer, mascara, eyeshadow and concealer I never seem to buy the same twice and could already manage another lifetime with the unused stash.

Botanicbaby · 26/03/2017 22:16

recent convert to Benefit Roller Lash good choice OP.

my must-have's are 2000 calorie curved brush mascara by Max Factor, Liz Earle toner spritzer (handbag size), Mac Russian Red, Benefit serum foundation.

everything else I chop & change depending on impulse/mood.

TWOBANANAS · 27/03/2017 06:55

My only constant is the old fashioned Nivea cream in a blue pot.

GetAHaircutCarl · 27/03/2017 07:03

Regular Repeat buys for me include -

Dior Glow Maximiser
Clarins Flash Beauty Balm
Bourgeois Dream Touch Blush
Benefit Brow Zingers
Benefit They're Real Mascara
Aussie hair products.
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Turn Around

VintagePerfumista · 27/03/2017 08:02

I can recommend the Biore Watery Essence spf 50 for sunscreen- it is a very light lotion rather than the white masky gloopy cream kind for your body.

MorrisZapp · 27/03/2017 08:09

Redken All Soft shampoo
Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream
Korres Guava body butter
George at Asda cream blusher in Marshmallow
OPI nail polish in Midnight in Moscow
Clinique Happy perfume

OCSockOrphanage · 27/03/2017 09:40

Repeat buys for me include

Bioderma Micellar/Crealine
Bioderma Hydrabio serum
Clinique Moisture Surge (day cream and recently, the Overnight Masque)
Biore Watery Essence SPF50
Sensai Instant Glow foundation gel in Soft Bronze (the best ever thing for evening out the complexion weightlessly); I've used this for 20 years
Klorane Cornflower eye make up remover

And the UD Basic Naked 2 palette, which I bought recently for the first time, is looking promising.

EleanorRigbysNeice · 27/03/2017 15:52

Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturiser spf20
Clinique Iced Lotus blush (am on my 5th or 6th - get asked what it is all the time ... the only one I use really)
No7 lippie in Waterlilly. Have bought several and have also bought for friends/family.
Bobbi Briwn Eye shadow in Rich Brown. Dry for use on brows and wet with a brush as eyeliner.

AteRiri · 27/03/2017 19:25

Sunblock and The Face Shop eyebrow pencil.

That's it. That's my everyday face right there.

Jaymo10 · 29/03/2017 20:40

You all need to get on the 'The Ordinary' bandwagon!
Powerhouse skincare ingredients at low low prices!
Google it and see how everyone's raving. I'm using 5 products at the mo and I was always an expensive brand snob before reading about these products! Would NEVER EVER go back to my Estée Lauder and Lancôme skincare now! Smile
