I haven't bought any new beauty products for a while but I'm going to buy some new mascara online later (probably Benefit roller lash).

I fancy treating myself to another couple of bits and wondered what everyone's must haves are for inspiration?

Hi there. I'm using the hyalauronic acid, the matryxl, and the caffeine solution(for eyes) also the advanced retinol for my neck. I'm using Retin A on my face too but buy that from Spain.. have you read the info on Retin A and what it can do for your skin!!! If not, you really need to!!! I've totally overhauled my skincare. I'm 49 and my skin was sun damaged and wrinkled.. I'm already seeing the diffetence and only using all these products since Jan. I used to spend a FORTUNE on the Lancôme visionnaire and Estée Lauder ANR!!! What a waste of all that money for years!! X

MrsChopper · 30/03/2017 07:41

Repeat buys:

Simple eye makeup remover
Garnier micellar water
Rimmel exaggerate kohl eyeliner
Gosh mineral foundation powder
Rimmel translucent powder
Boots 17 Falsify HD mascara (a dupe for Benefit They're Real one)

Everything else I chop and change!

Brokenbutbreathing · 30/03/2017 08:57

This is such a great reference thread, thank you everyone! And Jaymo for The Ordinary tips - going shopping now!

BeastofCraggyIsland · 30/03/2017 10:11

Things I always replace like for like:

Clinique City Block SPF40
Smashbox Photo Finish
Bare Minerals 'hydrating tinted gel cream'
MAC Blush Baby blusher
Benefit They're Real mascara
Rimmel grey eyeliner pencil
Clinique Air Kiss lip gloss
Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt perfume
Nivea micellar water and moisturiser
Tresemme Perfectly Undone conditioner

Powder, concealer etc. I chop and change. I also sometimes try new foundations and mascaras but the ones above are my staples.

echt · 30/03/2017 12:20

Nivea soft
Cetaphil cleanser
Max Factor 2000 calorie with curved brush
Eyelash curlers
Bobbi Brown nude
Alum crystal block
50 sun cream

mrsmortis · 30/03/2017 13:04

I love the Kevyn Aucoin sensual skin enhancer. I use it as an undereye concealer (Even on a good day I look like a panda without concealer) over Benefit porefessional with or without foundation. The pots are small but you use so little. I've used my current one about 5 times a week for over a year and it's still more than half full...

And the Hourglass ambient lighting powder in incandescent (which unfortunately you can only get in the trio). I hit pan on my last one and I'm well into it's replacement.

TearGas · 30/03/2017 15:49

I repeat purchase the following without fail:

Garnier micellar water

Eve Lom eye cream

Liz Earle cleanser

Tresemme Keratin protect heat defence spray for hair

Honey hair conditioner (garnier I think) in yellow pot

Lush snow fairy body wash (only available at Christmas Sad

Chanel le volume mascara (crazy price but just better than all the others)

Tom Ford velvet orchid fragrance

TearGas · 30/03/2017 15:50

Oh yes MrsMortis- that powder is fab! I've also just hit pan and am going to repeat buy the trio.

TearGas · 30/03/2017 15:52

Ooh, I also forgot - L'Oréal black felt tip eyeliner. Much better than the Lancôme one I used to get.

catlover1987 · 30/03/2017 16:03

The only product I buy repeatedly is Clinique redness solutions foundation. Most of my other makeup / skincare varies depending on what I fancy trying / what is on offer. However, one thing I have recently discovered and will definitely be repurchasing once it runs out is the model Co highlighting cream trio. Got it in a birchbox and absolutely love it!

EnidButton · 30/03/2017 16:12

Love these threads.

So the unglamorous stuff first...

Lansinoh. Nipple balm- I use it to prevent and treat chapped lips. Amazing stuff. I couldn't be without it.

La Roche Posay Cicaplast B5 baume. I use this to treat pigmentation marks left by spots.

Neutrogena unscented hand cream and Burts Bees lemon cuticle butter.

Eucerin 10% urea body lotion. Clears up any patches of KP.

Rapidlash eyelash serum and Rapidbrow eyebrow serum. You have to keep using them though which is so great but I'm addicted to having long lashes now.

Babylips balm. The yellow tubed one. Perfect base for lipsticks and to freshen a lipstick up when you don't have a mirror. Cheap as chips too.

Nail Envy nail strengthener.

The prettier stuff...
Dior Diorshow mascara in black.
Real Techniques brushes and blenders.
Essie nail polish- I like the wide brushes.
Coco Madamoiselle.
Chanel Rouge Coco shine lipsticks- all gorgeous. The perfect lipstick.
Urban Decay eye shadows. Especially the Naked 1 and 2 palettes.
Elemis milk bath.

EnidButton · 30/03/2017 16:13

MrsM and Tear Do you use the hourglass as an all over setting powder or a highlighter? Looked at it a few times online but unsure how it's used.

EnidButton · 30/03/2017 16:14

*isnt so great

TearGas · 30/03/2017 16:31

Enid, there are three in the trio, I can't remember what the names are but basically there's one that I use as an all over setting powder; one for highlighting (lighter powder with slight sheen); and a more bronzed one which I use as a blusher/ bronzer.

EnidButton · 30/03/2017 17:53

Thanks Tear Wonder if the individual ones are as good. I have highlighters etc. Fancy a powder I can use on t zone that's not too glowy but not totally matte. Grin I'll have a look at the other Hourglass powders. Although I do like a palette..

margaritasbythesea · 30/03/2017 20:23

Jaymo - can i ask what Retin a you get from Spain and where from?

BusterGonad · 30/03/2017 20:33

Simple eye make up remover (the clear water like one) Baby lotion (not Johnsons) as a cleanser, L'Oréal lipsticks, Bourjois Rouge edition velvets are amazing (Matt liquid lipsticks), Chanel eyeshadow palettes, Benefit roller lash mascara, Smashbox Matt lipsticks and primer (clear one).

Sallystyle · 30/03/2017 20:40

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette.
Benefit- 'They're Real' Mascara.
Benefit- Dallas Blusher.
Benefit- Eyebrow pencil but don't remember the name.
Estee Lauder- Under Eye Brightener.
Lush- Ultrabland.
BodyShop- Hemp HandCream.
Biore- Sunscreen.
Clinique- Moisture Surge.

Perfumes
Tom Ford- Tobacco Vanille
Dior- Hypnotic Poison
Jo Malone- Lime Basil and Mandarin layered with either Orris and Sandlewood or Myrrh and Tonka

EnidButton · 30/03/2017 20:56

I thought of another one,

Phillip Kingsley Elastisizer.

Jaymo10 · 30/03/2017 21:16

Margaritasbythesea: sure yes, it's the Spanish Tretinoin ( the active ingredient in Retin A) cream. Retirides. I buy it from this site, www.farmaciaenandorra.com/shop/retirides-0025-30gr it's about £38 for two tubes plus delivery. I've had a few people buy it from there. It's 100% genuine. I'm using the 0.05%, I went straight in at that strength.

AteRiri · 30/03/2017 21:37

I lost my Hourglass Ethereal Light. :( I use that as an overall powder during A/W.
