Your best mascara for huge non clumpy lashes under £20?

PollyPerky · 25/03/2017 07:37

I love Lancome Hypnose and get through loads- a tube lasts me about 3 months max.

But at £25 a time it's not cheap.

I've read good things about a new Max Factor one (think the tube is green and black) and some Rimmel.

The thing I like about Hypnose is you can build it up and it doesn't go spiky or make your lashes brittle.

So- my eyelashes are stumpy and I need them longer and thicker.

Clinique High Impact is ok (had free samples) but seems to flake off.

Not impressed with any of the Loreal ones (unless there are new ones out) , Maybelline makes lashes stiff, Soap and Glory was just useless, so any ideas?

Maybelline yellow tube is my favourite - I just keep going back to it even more expensive ones are not as good imo

honeylou42 · 25/03/2017 08:07

Clinique super lash Smile

honeylou42 · 25/03/2017 08:09

Sorry I meant High Impact Blush

I am about to try Hypnose tbh as I have about 7 high street ones and they're all meh, so I figured I might as well try one high end one!

Currently have good old 2000 calorie and it's certainly better than the others I have (including Benefit They're Real which is like painting sticky tar onto my eyelashes)

ReginaPhalange1 · 25/03/2017 08:21

Benefit roller lash.
And you can get two travel size ones for 20 quid in boots so it will last you longer.

ActuallyThatsSUPREMECommander · 25/03/2017 08:27

Placemarking because I'm not really happy with my mascara and fancy trying one of these.

RunningMommy · 25/03/2017 08:27

Max Factor Clump Defy is my favourite.

NoelHeadbands · 25/03/2017 08:30

Ah.
I was going to say stretch to an extra fiver and buy Hypnose.

Nothing comes near it for me

flumpybear · 25/03/2017 08:30

Maybeline for me too - many choices of brush shape too

SorrelForbes · 25/03/2017 08:38

Estee Lauder Double wear (the volume one). No clumps and no smudges.

PollyPerky · 25/03/2017 09:04

I've tried 2 Maybelline- the Falsies and Great Lash. Both make lashes very stiff and hard.

Max Factor False Lash. I use loads (mascara only lasts me about 3 months too) and never get clumps.

dontpokethebear · 25/03/2017 09:14

I've found a cheap brand call W7 (you can get it on Amazon). Their range is really good. I use their 'Absolute Lashes', which is great for everyday, doesn't smudge.

akwan · 25/03/2017 09:20

I've just bought the max factor curl one, it's lovely but you need loads so it may be false economy

Sunnysidegold · 25/03/2017 09:30

I say stick with the high end one.work it out over three months and it's about 8 quid a month. You know it works and saves trying out 500 mascaras at 7.99 a pop. My drawer is filled with mascaras that I bought thinking "maybe this will be the one the hat really works for me" and if I found a great one I'd be sticking to it. Now if anyone can recommend a mascara that does not shift at all I would love t9 hear about it!!

PollyPerky · 25/03/2017 09:35

I usually stock up when J Lewis has their sales because Lancome do a double pack of Hypnose for around £32 so that's £16 a pop rather than £24.

Also a Hypnose fan here, I think the best similar high street product if you can find it is L'Oréal telescopic

notasgreenasiamcabbagelooking · 25/03/2017 10:58

Another shout for Max Factor Clump Defy. Does what it says on the tin.

Pistachiois50pmore · 25/03/2017 11:21

I think all the L'Oreal ones are terrible except for Voluminous (in the greyish silver tube) which is great. I always seem to get free sample tubes of Benefit mascaras, I'm using Bad Gal at the moment and I like it. Dunno how much it is full price but you're never too far from a Benefit freebie in a mag or whatever

OatcakeCravings · 25/03/2017 11:25

I've tried hundreds in my time but always go back to Max factor 2000 calorie.

April241 · 25/03/2017 11:28

Benefit they're real or rollerlash.

MAC haute or naughty

Max Factor false lash effect or clump defy.

I'm also a big fan of L'Oréal telescopic too.

Note3 · 25/03/2017 11:29

I had a no.7 one I loved but I could never remember the name when I went to buy another and then ended up buying others and I'm never happy! Watching this thread with interest (though wish I could remember the one I used to buy!!)

Botanicbaby · 25/03/2017 12:15

Max Factor 2000 calorie.

Although I've impulse bought Benefit Roller Lash at the checkout and despite having a spiky plastic brush which I generally dislike, it's a great mascara!

witwootoodleoo · 25/03/2017 12:17

Max Factor Masterpiece for me - never clumps and makes lashes seem much longer and more volumous plus it's under a tenner
