It's £200 though (got a 10% off discount code).

Would you spend this much on a shirt? OH being no help at all!

Ooh yes. You have the necessary quirk and aplomb

Love those shoes!

It sounds to me as if this blouse is calling to you. You can always send it back

DavetheCat2001 · 20/03/2017 19:38

haha thanks yoda..that's what I'm thinking...

Looks like something from Pop Boutique. Very overpriced.

iwantavuvezela · 20/03/2017 19:43

Have you looked at the shirts on Rixo. Sorry can't link but easily googl able.
Looking at that pic I think the shirt would suit you.

Laska5772 · 20/03/2017 19:45

Its great get It..

if you dont even try it on and end up going for a cheaper comromise instead you will most likely regret that you didnt give it a go..

DavetheCat2001 · 20/03/2017 20:21

ooh love the Rixo stuff iwantavuvezela

Going to have a good nose at the stuff on there now.

Laska I probably will order it and try it on. I can't really afford it at the moment if I'm being honest, but am pretty good at being brutal and sending stuff back unless I absolutely love it.

I like this one. Sold out though:

I love rainbows. And silk shirts. And I love quirky clothes, and dark colours mixed with brights. I also have a figure similar to yours.

So in theory, I should love that shirt.

But there's something just a bit... wrong... with it. I am a designer so I am very fussy about graphics, imagery and balance, so I am probably overthinking it, but there's something a bit cheap and crap-looking about the arrangement of the rainbows. And they're all floating about in a bit of a disjointed manner.

I can't say what it is, but there's something a bit naff and... 'obvious' about the rainbows, like they've been stuck on randomly by a five year old.

But at £200, it is a shirt worthy of over-thinking! Smile

TealStar · 20/03/2017 20:42

But for a CBeebies presenter, it would be perfect Grin

DavetheCat2001 · 20/03/2017 20:45

Interesting comments Teal

I just showed it to OH again and he commented that some of the rainbows looked a bit 'bitty' too.

Auugh...what do you think of the Amber one I linked to above from Rixo?

OP posts:
TealStar · 20/03/2017 20:55

Dave I much prefer the print on that Amber one, and the green is lovely.

(It's too frilly and flouncy for me, as I prefer shirts to have some structure, but thats just me, and if your asking for opinion only on print then yes I'd get on the waiting list!)

TealStar · 20/03/2017 21:21

I quite like this one

TealStar · 20/03/2017 21:23

and this one, but maybe not 'quirky' enough Grin

DavetheCat2001 · 20/03/2017 21:24

OK..I've ordered the rainbow shirt. I just thought sod it, if I don't at least try it on it'll just bug me.

If I'm not 100% in love with it, it can go back. If I am, then I'll have a nice new shirt to wear for my birthday Grin

I think that one is ok Teal. Not 100% though. I think I like the pussycat bow bit of the rainbow shirt.

We shall see anyway. Will report back when it arrives.

Not so keen on the All Saints one. Bit too flowery for me, hence why I wasn't sure about the Rixo one.

OP posts:
TealStar · 20/03/2017 21:29

Yay. Well done. I do think that unless you try it on yourself you'll never know. I hope it's a success (let us know how you get on!)

Ps I agree about the floweryness of the AS one, and a pussybow is always a nice touch.

PaperdollCartoon · 20/03/2017 21:46

I literally just said to DP before opening this thread that if I get the job I'm going for tomorrow (significant pay rise) in buying the flamingo shirt. I love the rainbows too but not the pussy now neck, if I was a normal shirt collar I'd buy it. Hope you like it on!

DavetheCat2001 · 20/03/2017 21:54

I really like the flamingo one too.

Good luck, hope you get the job (and the shirt!)

I'm not sure what all the umming and ahhing was about, you can send the bloody thing back if it doesn't suit.

DavetheCat2001 · 21/03/2017 07:12

Because its a lot of money to shell out, plus I like the opinions on this board. Usually someone will direct me to a brand/ website I havent heard of/considered.

OP posts:
DevelopingDetritus · 21/03/2017 08:04

Yes but surly you won't miss £200 pound until it's refunded again. If you do feel the loss of the £200 for a couple of weeks until it's refunded, then maybe you're spending beyond your means.

DevelopingDetritus · 21/03/2017 08:05

*I get the asking for advice, nothing wrong with that.

DevelopingDetritus · 21/03/2017 08:07

Ps, I like you floral blouse in above photo. Very nice.

DavetheCat2001 · 21/03/2017 08:30

Thank you..it's from Oasis. Much more affordable Grin

OP posts:
DevelopingDetritus · 21/03/2017 08:35

That's it, the quality looks better too. I have quite a few floral and fauna blouses, and a dressing gown, I just love them.
