Skinny jeans with a proper high waist?

I need some jeans advice please!

I am a 5ft 7 size 12 but I haven't yet come anywhere close to having regained my figure due to 2 babies in the last 3 years.

I have a wardrobe full of cheap jeans which don't fit properly.

I want to find a pair of good quality skinny jeans with a proper high waist. Not one of these pretend high waisted pairs which in reality just sit awkwardly on my hip bones and I keep having to pull them up I'm looking at you, New Look.

I can't really justify more than £50 and would ideally like to spend less. But for the jeans of my dreams I'd go over £50.

Any tips? I don't want to waste yet more money on cheap jeans which don't fit. Thanks!

I really loved the topshop Joni jeans they came up lovely and high and were so comfy too! They're gathering dust in the wardrobe for whenever I lose the baby weight too

I'm 5ft 9", 11st 7lb, apple shaped, and Marks and Spencer's high waisted super skinnies do me proud. I'm a 14 in Next.

Topshop Joni are not quite right for me but I now live in their Jamie jeans - high but not too high. I used to wear Topshop Leigh but they just fell down all the time.

I also used to buy all the expensive jeans but I think Topshop are the best and v v reasonable price-wise.

I love these. They are good quality, tummy button high, flattering and cheap!

Yes yes yes abc I'm evangelical about those! Sadly my older pair died yesterday after almost daily wear for a year - I split the crotch doing an inadvisable lunge whilst attempting to construct some ikea furniture. I'm in mourning! Fortunately I do have a backup pair

I second Gap high waisted skinnies and topshop Jamie's.

I love the Topshop Jonis and also the M&S ones - the M&S ones are a little more.... Forgiving.

Gap- super high rise skinny jeans are super flattering and always either 30 or 40% off.

I shopped around for the same recently and am surprisingly impressed with Primark high waisted skinny jeans.

They are only £7 and so comfortable!

I never got on with Topshop Joni.

Spend £90 on a pair or Karen Millen jeans that i never wear but love my primark ones.

Another vote for Jamies!

Another vote for Topshop Jamie and a big no for their Leigh jeans, start out comfortable but fall down every five minutes. Gap are ok but sized very generously - get two sizes smaller than you usually wear, seriously!

Next 360 degree stretch (or similar name) are great, very stretchy, very high waisted and really comfy. Under £50 and you can often get them for nearer £20 in their sale section.
