Night time beauty routine. What's yours?

I'm just curious really..

Haven't got a routine really at the moment, as I chop and change what products I use all the time! I'm interested to know how people cleanse/remove makeup in the evening and anything they've found to work really well (especially people who have sensitive/rosacea/eczema!). Do you use toners or oils?! There's so much out there!

Thanks! Smile

Cleanse with Eve Lom cleanser - amazing, have used for 20 years.
Rose oil on face. A heavier cream (Creme de la Mer) if skin is really dry.
Brush teeth. That's it!

I have sensitive skin so use as few products / ingredients as I can get away with:
Cleanse with almond oil and a warm, wet flannel.
Moisturise with either more almond oil or wheatgerm oil.
A couple of times a week, I mix in a bit of blue tub nivea which for some reason, doesn't set my face off.
That's it.

I always take off my specs before I look in the mirror and, if I do say so myself, I look mighty fine.

Oh you're lucky Remus I've been doing it for years. The joys of being a raven haired beauty Hmm

Funnily enough Flo I look great without my glasses too Smile

I double cleanse; I wear a lot of make up every day:
Boots organic balm then NIOD sandskrit cleansing cream.
Nip and fab glycolic pads
Seronzinc hydrating toner.
NIOD copper amino serum then hyaluronic serum. When that dries I apply some clarins blue lotus oil and I'm done.

Nothing... I'm too tired for all that faff!?

Maybe I'm the only one Blush

Wow, am surprised by these elaborate routines and wonder if this is an accurate snapshot? I wipe my face with a hot flannel and then use some coconut oil to get rid of any mascara smudges still left. That's it and I have great skin.

ISpy "Wow, am surprised by these elaborate routines"

Well I would have been
But I posted on here about my awful chest wrinkles and didn't even understand some of the skincare threads Grin

Hey spankhurst just wondering if u think that castor oil has helped eyelashes grow/thicken ? Thanks

Barbara1956 · 08/03/2017 21:23

I am 60 and have great skin...my mother introduced me to Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream when I went away to college a million years ago and I still use it as a night time super moisturizer, otherwise I cleanse , tone and moisturize with Elemis products , suits my sensitive to combo skin .

SallyGinnamon · 08/03/2017 21:28

My GM had the best skin even at 95. I follow her routine and have lots of complements on my skin too.

Night time - Brush teeth and go to bed.

Morning - Shower washes off yesterday's make up. No products, just water. Then Aldi moisturiser and today's make up. Bingo. All done!

empirerecordsrocked · 08/03/2017 21:43

Micellar water
Blue Nivea

Done.

Ginmakesitallok · 08/03/2017 21:47

Brush teeth. Makeup off with whatever wipes have been on special, or with clarinet one step cleanser

Ginmakesitallok · 08/03/2017 21:47

Clarins not clarinet

Dancergirl · 08/03/2017 21:49

Lots of oil type things going on! Where do you buy this wonderous coconut oil?? And is it for cleansing or moisturising or both?

LipstickForADogwalk · 08/03/2017 21:51

Oil cleanse with a blend of castor oil/coconut oil. Tone with homemade toner - apple cider vinegar and distilled water. Moisturise with a blend of oils, currently sunflower and pomegranate seed oil. Castor oil on eyelashes. Homemade handcream of coconut oil and jojoba oil. I'm entirely flammable!

LipstickForADogwalk · 08/03/2017 21:53

Dancergirl, you can use it for everything, but make sure it's cold pressed, virgin and organic

Gah81 · 09/03/2017 08:17

In terms of having an elaborate system - I think mine comes from having had such bad skin for so many years. I used to look in the mirror as a teenager and feel so down about my acne and scars. It got me into a rigorous routine that I have never abandoned for fear that I might get bad skin again!

I think if I had been blessed with perfect or naturally good skin when at an impressionable age then my routine would be somewhat different! Grin

Dancergirl · 09/03/2017 09:07

Thanks lipstick where do you buy yours from? Does it leave a greasy film after cleansing or does it come off well?

LipstickForADogwalk · 09/03/2017 17:43

I order all my oils from Amazon and tbh haven't noticed much difference between the brands. Use a hot as you can stand face cloth (change every day), I wipe over my face two/three times for non-greasy, super soft skin. It is a bit more faffy than using regular cleaners but the results are so worth it, and a fraction of the price!

NocturneGmajor · 09/03/2017 18:34

Remove eye make up with Avene or some cheap brand lying around.
Wash face ZO Oil Cleanse
Wipe face ZO Cebatrol pad
Vit C serum ZO
Apply ZO eyelash / eyebrow serum thing
ZO Daily Power Defense cream / lotion
Brush teeth sensodyne, nightguard in
Once week or more Melamim then melamix with tretinoin. Or retinol Advanced Night Repair
Try and remember cuticle oil
A palaver, but I've spent the money so I do it.
Once month smother face in Emla, inject botox or cheek filler or lip filler or 2ml Teosyal Redensity mesotherapy. Hate doing it but needs must...
