Casual shoes help please

I'm after a pair of really comfortable casual shoes - need more cushioning than my Converse but not full on sporty like my Nike Roshe. Want to wear them with skinnies (full length or rolled up) and with jersey midi skirts and bare legs when it's warmer. Something that's not so casual that I couldn't wear them for something like a pub lunch or a day sightseeing.

Any recs, please? Not Skechers. Even better if they are children's ones, so cheaper! Grin

Nobody? They don't have to be children's btw!

So can I just check - you want more comfortable than converse but not trainers or sketchers?

AND you want stylish and cheap ???? moon on a stick

I'm currently sporting these. So comfy!

They don't have to be cheap, cheap - but an advantage if they are!

I really like those red ones. What are they?

By 'not trainers' I mean not obviously sporty - I have Nike Roshe and love them but want something a bit less 'American tourist' if that makes sense?

I have lots of leather Converse - but definitely need something more padded.

Quite like the Puma suede ones. Have I gone mad?

Think the red above are adidas gazelles.

I have red Stan Smith and love them - surprisingly versatile and v comfy

No it's just your age. First sign of middle age is wanting comfortable shoes Grin

All my beautiful heels are lying discarded in a box at the back of a cupboard Sad

Link that works

If have a pair of black and white suede pumas. Should I be embarrassed? BlushGrin

My pumas

RemusLupinsChristmasMovie · 21/02/2017 17:06

Those black and white ones are the ones I was just looking at. I really like them, but could they be worn with skirts?

LiefieLiefie · 21/02/2017 17:07

I'm eyeing up these or these for spring.

Verbena37 · 21/02/2017 17:09

I'd look at Rieker if you want something you can wear with jeans and skirts.

EggsEleven · 21/02/2017 17:13

Margot Robbie has a pair if that helps you feel less mumsy Grin I tend to wear mine with skinnies like in the photo. Haven't tried with a skirt though I think they'd probably go with a tube skirt.

EggsEleven · 21/02/2017 17:16

I bought these recently which are v comfy. Office now OOS but you'll probably find elsewhere. Still not sure about skirts though

RemusLupinsChristmasMovie · 21/02/2017 17:18

Sorry but those Rieker things are horrible (imvho).

Don't care if I look or feel 'mumsy' (whatever that means) - I'm middle aged and a mum (of grown ups!).

I do quite like the New Balance but they don't suit me - they make me look like a toddler.

Somebody on another thread posted a link for Onitsuka tigers which I quite like the look of. I'm considering buying a pair of the black lawnship tennis shoes.

I quite like the look of these for spring in pink

Haven't seen in RL and they look a bit flimsy online but have read a few blog reviews which rave about them and say they are v comfy and durable. I wouldn't t wear them folded down though.

lilyroses · 21/02/2017 17:53

Stand smiths or adidas superstar - you can wear both shoes with everything Grin

lilyroses · 21/02/2017 17:54

Stan not stand

RemusLupinsChristmasMovie · 21/02/2017 18:45

Not terribly fond of Stan Smiths, but I do like the Adidas Gazelles and will try some on, along with the old skool Pumas!

AnotheBloodyChinHair · 21/02/2017 18:55

Geox sneakers are less 'trainer' like and unbelievably comfortable.

CallarMorvern · 21/02/2017 19:08

I love the Gola Liberty fabric trainers.
www.gola.co.uk/search/liberty
My 11yr old won't wear anything other than Geox as apparently they are super comfy.

sanitygirl · 21/02/2017 19:27

Nike internationalist - I wear them with skinny jeans and skirts - they feel much better than Nike Roshe which I agree look too "sporty"
