Went to buy No7 foundation (pics posted)

..... and my shade was out of stock. Since I've only just been "matched" I decided to try another store in the week. But.... had a little mooch around the counters and got a Chanel sample (which I'd NEVER splash out in, but I've ove £100 worth of points saved). Which is best on me? Here's the No7 shade...

Definite;y the Chanel. Which one is it, by the way? I am currently trialling foundations, but nothing comes close to Chanel's Vitalumiere Aqua.

I'm no expert in these matters but I do think you look particularly lovely in the second pic. I think that has more to do with your expression, the lighting and the merlot than the Chanel though!

I can, however, recognise a prize twat when I see one - looking at you Beanfilled.

Chanel looks more tanned... no 7!

I loved Chanel foundation until about 4/5 years ago, when they discontinued it.
It was pro lumier or something and I wore it for years. Anyway I think that chanel number you have is lovely.

I think the Chanel looks more dewy, less cakey and is the most flattering on you IMO.

Like Maudlin I loved Pro Lumiere until it was discontinued but after much trial and error, I recently discovered Chanel's CC Cream which I'd previously not even entertained as I like quite a full coverage and BB or CC creams or whatever weren't going to cut it for me.

However, it's apparently Chanel's closest equivalent to the old Pro Lumiere just with dubious rebranding and I love it!! Good coverage, dewy, luminous.

Another vote for the Chanel from this corner.

(Please don't take any notice of the naysayer, unfortunately some people are just charmless and no amount of slap will cover it up.)

Late to this party but to me I think I can see the Chanel one - ever so slightly cakey. Whereas No 7 looks totally natural. Both are nice though but no I wouldn't spend mega bucks on the Chanel from that pic. Sorry.

I like the Chanel better but it may be because of different lighting ?
The Lancôme 24hr tient idole is lovely too. Might be worth a shot.
