I'm very, very excited to go to my first wedding dress shopping appointment tomorrow morning!

I'm going to try and keep an open mind and try on all different styles even though I know what I want.

I love seeing other people's choices....anyone got wedding dress photos to share?

Marples thank you, it was from the designer Le Spose Do Gio Smile

Lonelynessie · 18/02/2017 11:45

This is mine - but I'm adding thin straps as I'm not so keen on strapless. 5 months to go! I'm also having a different dress made that looks like this

Loup, it's so beautiful....There is one for sale in UK used half price and in my size...wibble wibble. Sorry to hijack but can I asked it the neck line on the net upper worked- or did you pull down in a Bardot style (I'd prefer it as worn by the model but other photos I've seen it's worn pulled down). Flowers

This was mine. I had a similar (but nicer IMO!) fascinator hat, and blue sparkly shoes! And a cropped tweed jacket as a cover up.

This was mine. It has a cowl back and front. The train is a bit bunched up here. It was very me.

Gazelda we had the same dress Grin

It was perfect for my Vegas wedding!

sonyaya · 18/02/2017 12:08

raaaaaaa

You look incredible!! You really have the figure to pull that dress off.

Loving all the dresses ladies!

LoupGarou · 18/02/2017 16:17

Marples thanks, I had the net neckline up like in the model photo - we were married in a cathedral and not in the UK so I had to wear something modest-ish. I did put a tiny piece of boob tape on my skin on either side to make sure it stayed up, and that worked brilliantly all day. I got a lot of compliments on the dress, and it was very comfortable and flattering to wear Smile

Raaaaaaaaaaaaa · 18/02/2017 17:40

Smile thanks sonyaya! What a lovely thing to say.

Hope you had a successful trip OP!

kel1234 · 18/02/2017 17:45

This was mine.
A pure white David Tutera strapless ballgown with sweetheart neckline and train. With a full length two tier veil also in pure white.
I always knew the style I wanted. So it was just a matter of finding the one.
I tried on 2 dresses and the second one was 'the one'. Ironically, when I saw it on the website of the bridal boutique I went to, I said no. But as soon as I saw it on I instantly knew.

I was 4 and a half months pregnant at my wedding as well

NameChangeNoreen · 18/02/2017 18:01

This is mine but I had it in white. I still have it and every so often I'll put it on and swish around the house for a few minutes whilst DH looks at me like I've lost my mind 🙈

Loupgarou I LOOOOOOVE yours!

jcscot · 18/02/2017 19:15

This was mine (from 17 years ago!) faces blurred in the hope no one recognises me. Four children later, I still fit into mine!

Soooo....there was definitely one main contender. It's strapless BUT they would be able to make off the shoulder / dropped cap sleeves which I would definitely want as I have super chubby arms!

I'd love to wear mine again

kel1234 · 18/02/2017 19:41

The dress and veil are still in the dress bag, which my dad is very kindly storing for me (he has plenty of space and doesn't mind). I can't bare to get rid of it, even though I know I'll never wear it again.

user8463728287 · 18/02/2017 19:45

Wish I could wear mine every time I go out Smile

This is it...I would either wear the shrug or have dropped cap sleeves / off the shoulder sleeves.

Sadly it did not look this good on me. Diet starts Monday!

That's gorgeous

NanooCov · 18/02/2017 19:52

I wouldn't rule out staples because of big boobs. I am endowed in that area and actually found the strapless suited me best. I had a lace three quarter sleeve shrug for during the day and took it off in the evening go had best of both worlds really.

NanooCov · 18/02/2017 19:54

This was mine

OP that's gorgeous! I love the idea of the jacket as well so you can have two different looks!

Here's my very sparkly number for later this year Smile

This was mine 5 yrs ago. I love, love, loved wearing it. It was comfortable with a silk underslip and lace sheath over top. This isn't me, my dress is a 14 (and it's for sale Wink )
