No!!

Why are M&S still peddling incorrect advice??

This Bra Fit Event is going to get even more women in incorrectly fitting bras...

They are bonkers - I am a very tall, way above average sized well built woman (minimum a size 14) but even I only wear a 32 band. Albeit with a massive cup - but to me it means hardly anyone should be wearing anything close to eg 38/40 like M&S say!!!!

KatharinaRosalie · 18/02/2017 16:17

I'm just wondering how big percentage of M&S bra fitting victims are out in 34B/36C? By the sound of it, almost everybody.

BoSelectaBigBiff · 18/02/2017 16:23

I am a dress size 10. M&S try to put me in a 34A whenever I go there.

However, I wear a perfectly fitting 30E.

I don't go to M&S for bras any more.

Iamastonished · 18/02/2017 16:30

"I don't go to M&S for bras any more."

I do because I now know what size I am and they have plenty of choice in my size. They would put me in a 34A, but I am actually a 32B Sad

Longislandicetee · 18/02/2017 16:37

I got excited then thinking they might finally stock my size now.Hmm

BoSelectaBigBiff · 18/02/2017 19:01

Iama, I would happily go to M&S for bras if (a) they did a decent range of their bras in 30E and (b) of the small number of bras they do make in a 30E, they actually ever had any in stock in that size when I go in.
Usually when I walk around my local store, I can find a maximum of 2 bras in stock in my size to try on. I cba to order bras online, as it can be difficult to find one that fits, so I want to try them on in store.

I'm an admin on the Boob or Bust FB group, we had a meeting with M&S Head of Lingerie who refuses to accept that they are fitting incorrectly. According to them they haven't used the +4 method for 5 years (yeah right) and any bad fittings will be individual incidents and nothing to do with their training. She is living in cloud cuckoo land and nothing will change there while she is in charge. They also don't see the problem with missing out cup sizes as most of their styles don't do FF and it seems that GG is random as some do and some don't.

That's totally nuts. I did wonder if linking to this thread would make a difference but from the above post it seems it wouldn't.

hollinhurst84 · 19/02/2017 01:12

That's interesting as they used the +4 on me when I went as a test for another thread on here. Fitted as a 40H (I know it was 40 but can't remember exact cup size) and I wear a 34K
I then went to an independent fitter nearby who didn't have much choice in my size, I tried a fantasie and elomi I think and she said "nope, the one you're wearing is a much better fit than anything here" and asked me where it was from (Ewa michalak)

RonaldMcDonald · 19/02/2017 03:47

For years wore a m&s fitted 38dd bra. After a thread on here I went and had a proper fitting
Am a 28/30hh

I'm a size 10 ( a tall lanky one ) why .i was ever convinced to imagine I was delicious enough to make up a 38 DVD is beyond comprehension.

KatharinaRosalie · 19/02/2017 08:15

38 to 28!! Wow, you must feel like a new woman.

ASqueakingInTheShrubbery · 19/02/2017 08:29

M&S told me I was a 38A. It very obviously didn't fit. The excellent independent factory shop near me measured me as 32DD, which fitted perfectly. Now I've lost some weight I've got to go through the whole rigmarole again.

Helpmybrainsmelting · 19/02/2017 12:14

They are rubbish. I deeply regret going there when I was pregnant. I ended up with a bra in a 38 back size. At my most pregnant I was a 36. Deep down I knew the advice was crap but I'd waited ages for an appointment (which is another thing, they've got very snotty about appointments).
