Should I return this?

I'd really appreciate some feedback on today's purchase. Do you think the shirt works for me? Trying to shake my wardrobe up a bit and would normally wear something fitted. Not sure it it suits my shape!

Well, I think it looks great, but it's my kind of style!

AgathaF · 01/02/2017 20:40

I'm not keen, but it's not my sort of a thing. What do you normally wear, and what look are you trying to get to with your shake-up?

Hiphopapotamus4 · 01/02/2017 20:46

I think it makes you look quite shapeless when I think you probably have a nice slim figure! I think you need something more fitted or if you like this style what about a longer shirt dress with a belt?

MsAR · 01/02/2017 20:56

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I normally go for fitted but end up in jeans and t shirts at weekends. I have a lot of knit wear. I think it's just hanging off me and feared someone would say it looks shapeless. My husband says it looks good but what would he know Smile do you think a belt would improve it?

I think you look good!

Madbengalmum · 01/02/2017 21:03

Looks a bit shapeless, makes you look square in the body. I would return it.

I like it. If you're worried about looking shapeless why not wear a skinny vest/tshirt underneath and wear the shirt open?

MsAR · 01/02/2017 21:08

A mixed response. If you are one of those who think I should return it, can you suggest what kind of thing I should be looking for. This is how I look with t-shirt and jeans. I want a layered look but just not sure how to go about it. I'm 37 btw so nothing too young looking!

Something more fitted would flatter your shape more, i thought the shrt was just square shaped thus unflattering.

Bobbybobbins · 01/02/2017 21:15

Cute kitty! (Misses point completely)

MsAR · 01/02/2017 21:18

Thanks Bobby!

Aww, pretty pusscat.

MollyHuaCha · 01/02/2017 21:23

I like the cat... er I mean shirt very much. Looks casual and comfy. I'd like it even more if it did not need ironing.

BrownEyedLady · 01/02/2017 21:33

Hope you don't mind me saying, you have a lovely bum and flat stomach so a thin cardie that ends where your t-shirt does (or just below) will give you the layering and be flattering.

MsAR · 01/02/2017 21:38

Thank you Browneyedlady!

I like it but think probably more for my shape (lardy) than yours. Where's it from please?

dovesong · 01/02/2017 21:44

Keep it. People have very antiquated ideas about what is and isn't flattering. Some things are just fashion (darling!)

MsAR · 01/02/2017 21:53

It's from fat face. Still undecided but erring towards returning it.

IMO the check is too big and masculine. I'm currently coveting this one which is a similar style?

I agree with dove: keep it.

JournosAreLazy · 01/02/2017 22:57

I like it & think it looks great slightly oversized for casual weekends

Dontsayyouloveme · 01/02/2017 23:19

I like it a lot! Really nice casual short. Don't have to wear fitted stuff all the time. Relax in it!! Grin

Dulcimena · 01/02/2017 23:38

It looks good. Looks much more modern than a fitted version would IMO.

Truckingalong · 01/02/2017 23:47

37, old? No way on earth is it. If I was 37 and had a great arse and boobs like you, I'd be out in my bikini. You can wear whatever you want.
