Hi there, I was just thinking, as I go through my early morning ritual of scrolling down threads about terrible Monsoon skirts, what shoes go with this dress, best shampoos for a keratin treatment, is £1500 too much to spend on a bag etc etc that this really is my Tibetan Mountain Retreat in a sea of i-DO-NOT-want-my-toe-nails-clipped-he-won't-let-me-talk-let-your-brother-talk-there's-no-milk-left-500-emails-in-your-in-box-the-world-has-finally-gone-freaking-mad-i-forgot-my-best-friend's-birthdayness

So THANK YOU everyone. Don't stop what you are doing. You have made my day by just being here.

S & B is my favorite too, all my RL friends are in the U.K. And I am not so I use S & B to chat about all the stuff I would with them, I love the January Lipstick thread the most but it's really made me crave and buy loads of new make up! 😂 Speaking of mum boots Brillana I've just purchased these bad boys, navy, suede more like velvet and 60s. I'm in love with them!

After DD2 8 months ago I was feeling very frumpy and down about my wardrobe and bad skin. The how to look expensive and skincare threads literally changed my life Flowers

Deathraystare · 02/02/2017 10:19

Umm me too I love the S&B board! Without it I would never have even ventured into Cos!

kneesupfatty · 02/02/2017 12:27

I've been, up until this point, a lurker! But, I'm very grateful for all the tips that I've picked up from afar. Hopefully, when I've finished de-frumping myself, I'm going to emerge all butterfly like!

Botanicbaby · 02/02/2017 12:56

S&B is one of my favourites too.

Love the make up reviews even if some clothes styles and suggestions aren't to my taste it's good to hear others thoughts.

It can be very funny reading too Grin

ChinUpChestOut · 02/02/2017 16:47

It's my favourite place too. Everywhere else just gets so angry and full on. The closest you get to angry here is a genteel argument over whether a shrug is still acceptable if you don't like bare arms. I loved the 'looking expensive' threads. It made me go and buy a de-fuzzer and I've since spent many a happy hour de-fuzzing all my knitwear.

I love a good slagging-off-M&S or Boden thread, me, very cathartic!

SpaghettiMeatballs · 03/02/2017 20:53

Me too. I love it here.

JohnCheese · 03/02/2017 23:10

I'm a dropper in and out, and wish I had more time for here, but when I drop in i love it!

Life is serious, horrible things happen in the world. Most we can do damn all about. Fashion and S&B is a fantastic distraction from the gravity of life.

To quote that famous beloved Dr. Sheldon Cooper: what's life without whimsy. Love S&B!

BeastofCraggyIsland · 04/02/2017 00:28

I love S&B too despite being more outdoorsy/practical than stylish. It's just really nice to read and I can easily while away a happy hour looking at the recommendations.

The downside though (for my bank account) is I keep buying things I see recommended on here: Ugg Simmens boots, Uniqlo heat tech tops, Uniqlo boyfriend jeans, Uniqlo cashmere jumper, Boden cashmere jumper, tubing mascara, various items of incredibly bargainous W7 make-up and Majirel hair dye all in the last month (all clothes in the sales). I blame S&B for ruining my no-spend 2017 resolution like that was ever going to happen Blush

BeastofCraggyIsland · 04/02/2017 00:30

Whoa, those brand names in my post turned into hyperlinks without me doing anything to them. Is that a new MN thing?! I don't even know how to consciously do that, I have to post long www. links if I want to share something Confused
