Hi there, I was just thinking, as I go through my early morning ritual of scrolling down threads about terrible Monsoon skirts, what shoes go with this dress, best shampoos for a keratin treatment, is £1500 too much to spend on a bag etc etc that this really is my Tibetan Mountain Retreat in a sea of i-DO-NOT-want-my-toe-nails-clipped-he-won't-let-me-talk-let-your-brother-talk-there's-no-milk-left-500-emails-in-your-in-box-the-world-has-finally-gone-freaking-mad-i-forgot-my-best-friend's-birthdayness

So THANK YOU everyone. Don't stop what you are doing. You have made my day by just being here.

The expensive thread changed my life! well, my wardrobe

It cheers me up reading S&B, I love learning about new styles and fashions. I like seeing how adventurous others are with their styles. I try to give suggestions and 'advice' but often arrive too late onto the thread.

I'd love to join a perfume thread but I fear that my nasal senses are too dim

Once the children are in bed, I make a cup of tea and click this forum, it may as well be my homepage :).

It's my happy place too. The January lipstick thread is particularly soothing.

I love S&B too and have found so many exciting threads on here.

I am a convert to S and B and I love it here! Especially any thread with photos.

It got quieter in here when everyone fecked off to Mrs Gloss over on Facebook. I like hanging out in both though

I love it too. Hate facebook and hate the way so many good groups get quieter/die a death once a Facebook group exists.

I like Mrs Gloss but it is relentless and very full on because there are so many members. I've had to unfollow the page because I couldn't keep up with the notifications - and God forbid you don't love the current trend of a 'strong brow'! I love S&B because it's a bit more considered.

I love it here too.

Nobody I know in real life wants to shop/talk about fashion except DD but she is 11 and swings between "unwashed in a Harry Potter T-shirt or animal onsie" and "Crop tops/sparkly things/dodgy make-up".
She is not my sartorial spirit animal

Hello- I am a lurker in here, and it is my new favourite too. I have binned my expensive mascara and swapped to Maybelline, purchased Glycolic wipes ( both good) and am feeling a bit sad to learn that ballet flats are now out and colour pop scarfs are bad. (But I will cope). It is indeed a happy helpful board xx

It's my little place to escape the madness. I may have also subsequently over stuffed my wardrobe but at least it's decent quality and suits me now! I may have also got enough toiletries and beauty products to last years but again, all lovely stuff that makes me happy.

I'm another big fan.
The advice here is sensible and realistic and there are some really knowledgeable folk on this board.
I've been massively help with foundation for sallow skin, flattering foundation, holiday wear and a couple of gorgeous frocks.
MrsLettuce was my go to for style advice for ages, I suspect she's NC like so many of us.

I was not expecting this outpouring of positivity when I posted this yesterday morning. This, along with Toast giving Erniandbernie a free tunic has cheered me up even more than usual! Well done S&B you always exceed expectations! 👏👏

Me too! I imagine what you'll all think of my outfits every morning, even if I CBA to start a thread. Makes me happy, makes me make an effort which in turn makes me feel good and takes my mind off the bickering, constant cajoling, asd stress. S&B = therapy! My bank balance does take a hammering though.

And I couldn't imagine asking anyone irl to rate my outfit, or for skin care advice! I just don't have that type of friendships nearby.... So it's lovely to be able to ask you all. It's like having a room full of older sisters, and best friends to help you out in and honest (and usually!) Sensitive way to you all!

I love S&B too! Frivolous it may be, but who cares? It's my little refuge and a very bad influence on occasion

Of course, my lovely fellow Crepeys have taken up residence in S&B, so that's an added bonus.
