I really need to start buying some Sisley stock.
Can I just have a moan since one of my ovarian cysts has decided to burst on me which equals hours of agony if I'm lucky. I just had to pay €15 import taxes on a €25 order from iHerb
. The taxes were only a euro and a bit, the rest were administrative costs for the postal company.
JDSTER, I use the Vit C in the morning and then usually very little product over it, a HA Lotion (Japanese) or TO Matrixyl then moisturiser, leave it for a bit then SPF, leave it for a bit then THE concealer.
Retinol I'd do 3x a week alternating with Nia/Vit C (whichever you plan on moving to the PM). You can layer the Nia over it, I'd leave the Buffet out then, either/or.
I'm no good with nightime moisturisers that smell with fragrance. You might like an Asian sleeping pack though for a change and added bouncy comfort.
wilting, I think someone on here used it and was a little tepid about it. It looks too siliconey for my tastes iirc.
Sorry, no haven't ordered the MF Niacin yet, am too concerned I won't be able to finish it in the allotted 6 months and when I did the calculations I basically have to send off samples to about 5 people and the postage + packaging on that to various people in the UK would be more than the cost of the product which is taking my evangelism of spreading decants a bit far. Am torn at the moment between buying the travel set or the set of samples. If I get the later I'll send you a baby bottle. I'll keep you posted.
Oil cleansers I like, Muji Sensitive Skin Cleansing Oil is probably my allround fave. Functional, affordable but has to be ordered in from Japan. Then it's the DHC which is on offer now if you're in the UK, see the Sunday Supplement. I also love the Shu Uemura Sublim8 one but it's too pricey. I have been looking at this one on EPP because it's cheap and potentially non-irritating for most.
Ooh galactomyces ^^. They were my gateway AB drug, my skin responds to it really well, but for others it does nothing. It's basically a fermented yeast product that allows for densely packed nutrients in the lightest of (watery) formulation. Reason I don't really refer to Benton as a galacto product is since it's usually First Essences (so before serums after cleansers and acids) and they contain about 97% galactomyces (or in that range) and little else.
The Benton is definitely a hydrator and it includes some key anti-inflammatory ingredients, so whilst not completely transformative it is a good support player.
I don't watch much skincare on YouTube, Enid. I got tired of CH's complaints about tiredness and the entire week's focus on going to a supermarket to persist with that. I go back and forth with being annoyed with AMR, she's sometimes a bit too blase about quite expensive products, as if it's the most normal thing in the world that they just magically appear in your house, which in her case it is but that's not the average experience.
I feel a bit too far removed from H&F age wise, though I sometimes tune in. I watch Gothamista for the AB stuff (she recently featured the Manyo Bifida in her Nighttime Skincare Video, Aurora, she liked it a lot) but even if you have no interest in AB she has some very good basic informative videos on acids, oils, etc. Recently started watching The Fox And The Snail too for AB (they just started their channel, mostly were on instagram) but it's two people chatting together it's kind of nice in a way.
Another I watch incidentally is Nadine Baggott, I can't really warm to her but that's just a personal thing I guess, she does know her stuff mostly, especially for a beauty editor (less fluff more on the serious side when it comes to skincare) and is very informative on cosmetic procedures like fillers, botox, laser, etc. It's just very obvious the YT channel is a commercial venture and I think she was the beauty editor at large for the Daily Fail for forever so as long as you get over that she is a decent resource.
Trinny for the sheer entertainment value, I have to ignore her inaccuracies and complete wild abandon to skincare in the process. Lisa Eldridge and Monika Blunder for makeup. And Dr. Sam obvs.
And gross pimple popping and extractions videos
There's definitely genetic predispositions, Asians are more likely to have melanin inhibition issues and a compromised moisture barrier (dehydration is less to do with age and more with genetics) but they tend to have fewer issues with sagging and wrinkles. Pale Northern Europeans have thinner skin and tend to be more sensitive. I also think those of a sensitive or atopic disposition tend to have several added skin complications as par for the course.
Potion9, mint/jo?
vaz, I think it makes more sense for you to get one good exfoliating AHA that you can use a few times a week in the PM rather than the so-so ones you use on the daily now and then the super strength incidentally. BR P50...
Pupsie, were you at least a good girl and went to try out the different colours in the shop before pulling the trigger
OMG, Aurora, there's a new emohi

Yes, where is our free Sisley stuff, on another thread someone got free clothes!
