It's no good saying don't go. I've promised now

Going out with DD1, 2, and 3 for DD3s 19th birthday. BFs going plus couple of mates. Probably cocktail bar then club. They all wanted me to go with them last year but i chickened out and they were :( DH is staying home with DD4 (3) saying ''go - enjoy!'' Arrgghh!

Kids won't give a shite what i wear - lovely young people - but i'm flustered. Haven't been clubbing for 10+ years.

So - late 40s, good legs, good bum, good tum, BUT massive matronly boobs and not keen on my arms. 5'5''. I'm thinking dark skinny jeans, heels, and .... that's as far as i've got! Help!

getahaircut sounds like a fab night! Grin That shirt/blouse is lovely. They've only got size 6 left though! aarrggh.

purple you're spot on with 'pot-wench' Grin It's a look i slip into with frightening ease! I will avoid laces. I'm just having fun.

remus i think you're too classy for me :) LOVE that mint velvet one mind you. hmmm Still searching.

The top worked well.
Kind of clubby enough, yet I felt covered. It was also pretty cool because it was roasting in there.

At one point I felt something plop on my head and I wondered if a bird had got in and pooed on me. But no. It was sweat dripping off the ceiling Shock.

RemusLupinsChristmasMovie · 27/01/2017 19:39

I'm so not classy but I think there's a fine line at our age between a little bit fun and youthful, and erm...not classy at all, especially if large of chest.

RemusLupinsChristmasMovie · 27/01/2017 19:42

You could always go bonkers and splash out on some Vivienne. Too arm-showing-y?

ChairRider4 · 27/01/2017 19:43

Something I can't see anyone mentioning is that not all clubs/nightclubs will allow jeans skinny or not

PurpleNurple69 · 27/01/2017 19:47

I found it! The perfect clubbing top https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B007V4X618/ref=mpssa11123?ie=UTF8&qid=1485546272&sr=1-123&pi=ACSX2366SY340QL65#immersive-vieww1485546308378

This girl's large of boob - what could possibly go wrong? Grin

MalletsMallets · 27/01/2017 19:48

If your worried about the jean issue, what about a pencil skirt (leather with a saucy split?) and heels?
Tuck in a nice top like the Ones above.
haven't been in a club for at least 15 years and mostly look like I got dressed in the dark

Laiste · 27/01/2017 19:51

Oh.MY. GOD That's the one purple! Soooo understated and yet still with a hint of cheeky flirtatiousness Grin

Ooh id go for some leather look trousers, heels either boots or sandals and a nice dressy top from somewhere like river island.

PacificDogwod · 27/01/2017 19:54

Simple, yet sophisticated - just the look you are after, Laiste! Grin

Laiste · 27/01/2017 19:54

Pencil skirt's a nice idea mallets. I will check with DDs about jeans.

remus i like the Vivienne. If i was my slim small chested alternate self i'd go for it. (i've met Vivienne. She's as mad as a box of frogs but lovely)

First top that came up...

PacificDogwod · 27/01/2017 19:55

Adeline top - I'm sorry that it's Baukjen again Blush

I am large of nork but slim of waist and this top does amazing things for me - shows off curves without uncovering any flesh.
Again, quite warm though....

PacificDogwod · 27/01/2017 19:57

Ooh, I like that, :Ginger!

Gingerbreadmam · 27/01/2017 19:58

Got this in loads of prints / colours

Sheer blouse

RemusLupinsChristmasMovie · 27/01/2017 19:58

Love that Adaline one in red.

Vivienne stuff is cut for norks, so worth a try if you wanted to splash out.

awaynboilyurheid · 27/01/2017 19:59

The blue top is lovely, would look lovely with dark skinny jeans please stay away from the cold shoulder style, imho it does not suit our age group.

Gingerbreadmam · 27/01/2017 19:59

Its even styled with some leather look trousers, like river island read my mind!

Laiste · 27/01/2017 19:59

But seriously - i think i am going to go for one of the sleeved wrap top types. It is a flattering fit when you've got boobs but with a waist.

You're welcome Laiste! Photo please, or it never happened!

I love the Vivienne too! And it's a bargain!
