Ah I am crap at doing my right hand with my left. I also spend a fortune dying my hair so that uses up all my cash!

Mine cost £15 every 3 weeks. I feel absolutely no shame, they are my only luxury. Don't drink/smoke etc.

I find they don't last from salon though. At home they last full week with no chips or anything before I take off and change colour. Every time I try a salon they chip in 2 days

You've all got lovely looking nails but I've got some questions.

I scrub my nails with a scrubbing brush every evening because otherwise there is all sorts of vile gunk under them, are your nails really clean?
If they are super clean, how do you prevent chips when painted?
Do you wear gloves all the time when doing household stuff?
Don't they feel thick with all that paint on them?

What beautiful hands Natalie! Although I have my nails shellaced (£15 every fortnight) I unfortunately still have sausage fingers. Yours look so elegant - and i love the colour!

Mine are a silver/grey/green. Chanel Black Pearl. I've had it for years.

Purple. I'm not sure why I went for purple. I panicked when they asked what colour I wanted, I don't even really like purple

Yours all sound cheap! Mine were £32 and have lasted 10 days but are starting to peel now.

Cheapest place i have found is £27 for removal and redoing them do doing that every fortnight is just too much for me (although spend mire on wine!).

Mine are around £30 a time but they last me a full 3 weeks. It took me a while to find a really good salon though.

Ifonly you're making me . Yes Fishless, they are! I always had to have unreasonably short nails when I was younger, for piano purposes, so as soon as I left for uni and stopped having lessons, I vowed they would never be short again. Haven't looked back since!

I got my illamasqua order today so have replaced with nail veil in bamboo. I like doing my nails and wouldn't pay someone to do them tbh! It looks nicer in real life!

Gel polish purple with iridescent glitter top coat

Pale peach with decals but it really needed another coat and it looks a bit shit so I'm not posting a picture.

I'm in Aus and it costs about $30 for refill/polish every 3 weeks. I hadn't done it for ages (doing chemotherapy) and having nice nails again is fantastic.

Got mine done today not mu usual therapist whilst they look ok i just want them off. Feel she did a bad job.

Twinkle nails so layered actual glitter. Fine. But about 4 layers of geltheyre still not sealed properly feel like theyre gonna be awful to get off.

More exoensive than usual too had brows done and theyre not good either.

OPI Russian Navy shellacs. I have them done every three weeks and it lasts pretty well most times. One nail is weak and crumbles under the gel making it chip but when I had them redone yesterday even that weak nail was still perfect. I have been using cuticle oil and taking Biotin to strengthen them so maybe it is finally paying off.

OPI semi-permanent Malaga Wine, love this colour so much!

I did it last weekend and will probably go very pink next time i do them in a week
