Great to 'see' you and your fibroid-free 'area' Molly! And glad you liked the joke. Laughter is indeed the best medicine.

And glad Crem has got away to warm and cheering climes - go shopping! You know you want to!

I have spent today at the Wellcome Collection, which is just marvellous! So very interesting. And with the BEST reading room right at the top, packed full of interesting books and things to look at and draw, and many lolling opportunities. I thought crepeys would particularly appreciate the cushions all the way up the stairs to the gallery for opportunities to loll while people watching.

relief Molly

hattymattie · 29/01/2017 17:17

Hurrah Molly so glad things are ok.

bigTillyMint · 29/01/2017 17:26

Welcome back Molly - glad you're out!

Well I really enjoyed Lala land. I love cinema and musicals. Loved the music and Emma Stones voice precisely because it was gentle! DH asked if I cried and I said no, he was never that much in love with her. Emotionally unavailable. And she obviously didn't love him that much either. DS looked a bit shocked, but at our age we know that not every relationship won't stay the course. Didn't take to Ryan Gosling really. Well, his character!

I want to see Jackie next.

Lalsy · 29/01/2017 17:32

Hurrah Molly, glad you are out and have got rid of your fibroid. I have one too, pesky little blighter embedded in uterine wall.

BTM, agree about RG. he was a bit dim and dour.

Herbs, I love Wellcome too. the Reading Room is relatively new and is such a brilliant idea I think. Whole place is amazing - free, interesting, ethical, innovative, bold - and with cushions and good coffee.

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 29/01/2017 17:36

Well done Molly. I love a 2 for 1 operation....

Well we didn't make it to a film here. MIL cancelled. She's suffering increasing age related anxiety and cancelled this morning.

Forced children out in the rain for a walk and to the pub for a yummy carvery (or cavalry, according to dd2 Grin). Recovering in front of a fire!

Changed holiday plans from Belize and Trumpton to somewhere east, not sure where yet. Suggestions on a postcard, please?

Cremolafoam · 29/01/2017 19:55

Molls glad you are out of prison hospital and that the fragrant Miss Ding dealt with pesky fibroid. Ding Dong The Fibroids Out!

Hear hear to Wellcome F

Collymollypuff · 29/01/2017 19:56

Yes, while they're in there having a look around, they might as well do a bit of hoovering. I have to say, all three docs/consultants I've seen have been lovely .

I've never even been to the Wellcome - keep meaning to go.

Rosebag · 29/01/2017 20:17

I have gin

NUFC69 · 29/01/2017 20:19

That's good news, Molly. Welcome home. Your experience with doctors, staff, etc., seems to mirror mine.

Hatty, I can always find an excuse to visit York, so bear that in mind.*

CV*, pain much more under control now (really only have any when I exercise now, so unfortunately still need to keep on taking the pills).

It's been a lovely day here, sunny and cold, so we went to Wallington for a walk - it was amazingly muddy, but good to get out in the fresh air. We waved the two DGC off at 11.00 am, following a late breakfast of five blueberry pancakes and 2 (small) bowls of cereal each - where do they put it all?

Rosebag · 29/01/2017 20:56

The band is singing Me,Myself, I. I am joining in...

motherinferior · 29/01/2017 21:04

Apple Tree Yard time again. Giving it another go...

MrsSchadenfreude · 29/01/2017 21:12

Hoorah for Molly's Magnificent Minge!

Glad it all went well, Molly.

motherinferior · 29/01/2017 21:32

I too am v happy about your joyous mingeoscopy.

MontserratCaballe · 29/01/2017 22:17

Molly, so glad your minge is on the mend!

How are you, Stropps? Any more word from Dd? Hope you have got some rest. Is next week going to be a bit calmer work wise?

BD, thinking of you. And indeed of everyone fighting the black dog. Hang on in there.

addle · 29/01/2017 22:18

Congrats to Molly's minge, esp for laughing like a drain. that's some talent

Am 'enjoying' last bit of w/e, having spent all yesterday and much of this morning clutching brian. and before you ask, it's dry january for me. think was migraine but no idea why. was vv sorry not to join BTM and demi squad for BP stomp.

Stropps, I'm sorry you've had such a stressful few days and hope you and DD are as ok as can be

NU, good to hear you got out for a walk

Ethiopian food - I'm with you, Mrs W. I'm not sure. I've had it a couple of times and the first it was a bit of shock to come across a whole boiled egg i the middle of my dish

IDismyname · 29/01/2017 22:51

Woop Woop Colly!

So glad you're back home after a little erm... spring clean Grin

motherinferior · 30/01/2017 08:12

Just told DP That Joke. He roared.

CointreauVersial · 30/01/2017 08:19

Glad you're all sorted "down below", Molly. Should should feel a lot better without that fibroid taking up house-room. DSis was transformed when they got rid of hers.

Bleurgh....Monday. DS has come down with a cold and is groaning snottily from the sofa. It wouldn't be exam week, would it? Hmm This afternoon I'm off to the 6th form college with DD1 for her interview, which was postponed from the snow day a couple of weeks back. Like DS, she really doesn't know whether to stay at school or jump ship.

Collymollypuff · 30/01/2017 12:28

Oh, thanks for that info re your dsis, CV. I just attended a GP appointment where I suggested I might start feeling much better now, but she looked dubious. At least my BP was perfect.

Good luck with exam week and the 6th form college. I am SO GLAD that all of that is over for me, and already seems a distant nightmare. Cloud, you must feel the same? And other empty nesters?

bibbitybobbityyhat · 30/01/2017 12:35

Hello crepes, I don't like barging in but thought you'd know better than the younger other Style & Beauty bods Wink

I'm getting slightly desperate (!) to buy a facial exercises dvd. I know that Eva Fraser is doyenne of the dark art, but can only seem to find books from her, no dvds. Or if there are any they seem to cost ludicrous amounts of money on Amazon.

So, any facial exercisers here? Which programme have you done and would you recommend? Thanks all.

IDismyname · 30/01/2017 12:53

Yes, Colly - glad its all over for 6th form - just first year of Uni to get through (starting September this year).

Need to get my head around applying for funding etc. If you don't they apparently class you as 'Forrin' and charge you their fees.

UCAS has yet to inform me that I need to apply, so am leaving that for another day.

bigTillyMint · 30/01/2017 13:07

Hi Bibbity, one of us definitely is - is it WAF?

motherinferior · 30/01/2017 13:24

Ooh yes, WAF did some. (wotcher dearie!)

Rosebag · 30/01/2017 14:11

Facial exercises...gosh...does eating count?

I am nearly an empty nester inasmuchas no school any more although DD is under 18. I like it but wish there was a bit more work on the horizon...just had a day time course cancelled Angry. Anyway I am slumped after a three hour assessment for renewal of my teaching licence. I hope it went ok but the sleepless night before and the headless chicken act this morning wasn't welcome for a Monday. especially after some mild overindulgence last night and a 1am bedtime but I do love a bit of live band and G&T
I am dreading the "supportive feedback" session
