Beauty boxes

I would like to get a monthly beauty box, I need to be looking at the cheaper end of the market so I'm looking at Glossybox, £10 +pp. Look fantastic £15 or Love me beauty £10 +pp.

Do you use any of these and are they any good?

I have had love me beauty for a few months and quite like the ability to choose what I want rather than getting a lot of things I didn't like in glossybox and birch box that I used years ago.

I've been able to get things useful to me (namely Benefit mascara and various cleanser that I get through quickly) and not be bogged down with vague brand hand creams/wrong colour concealer/nail varnish I'd never use.

The only one I liked was the powder box - cones out every 3 months or so I think. Not a subscription but worth getting hold of

I also used the FeelUnique sample service last month- its only £3.95 (but you get back that in the form of a voucher code to use on anything). The samples are small (sachets mainly) but I got a couple of uses out of most of them.

Thanks hairspray that's interesting, I wasn't sure about the choosing myself, thought it might be nicer to have a surprise each month, the thing that put me off love me beauty was that most things are 20 credits (is that what they call them) so only 3 things realistically per month. The other 2 boxes you seem to get 5-6 things but then maybe they're lower quality items.

There also doesn't seem a lot of choice, are there new/different products each month?

I've decided to subscribe to love me beauty, signed up for 3 months so I can get a taste of it. I don't have a huge amount of disposable income so have taken hairspays experience/advice cause I don't want to end up with lots of products that i'll necer use.

Powder box looked good, a few things I wouldn't buy, returning a present my dh got me, might see if he'll get me this

I had a birchbox subscription for a while, nice mix of skincare/makeup, maybe slightly more skincare though

I had a Birchbox subscription set up after my son was born (thought some treats might be a good idea if I wasn't going out much), then I switched to Glossybox to see if I liked it better. They were much of a muchness - Birchbox maybe had more well known brands but Glossybox were a bit more generous with sample sizes. Glossybox sent me a couple of makeup brushes that are quite good quality. No harm in giving it a go; it was nice getting post but for both of them the anticipation was definitely better than the reality. I've now cancelled both. Had some niceish things but nothing I was in a hurry to repurchase. Will I ever get through the big bag of random samples in my bathroom cabinet? Who can say...

Pistachios your last sentence made me , I had 2 beauty advent calendars so I'll already got quite a bit to get through.

I get the glossy box and look fantastic. The LF box is the better out of the 2 in my opinion. Rarely get anything I won’t use
