This is a ridiculously long shot....

....but ds gave me a pendant and ear rings for Christmas. I put the ear rings in straight away- and the box with the pendant went missing. I was sure it would show up in the post Christmas tidy but it hasn't. And now I have lost one of the ear rings. Sad I loved them and he was so pleased about Christmas shopping with money he had earned, so I would really like to replace them without telling him. But I don't know where he bought them. Has anyone seen them anywhere? I know he did his shopping in a town with all the usual shops, and I think they probably cost about £25ish. The 5p is for scale.

Sorry, Bertrand, I can't help but bumping for you.
Lovely earring - hope the pendant does turn up eventually Thanks

Isadora2007 · 08/01/2017 10:22

Much cheaper but not quite as nice and detailed. But he may not notice and the other one could turn up...

Do some searches for tree of life jewellery or ring round some local shops if you think he bought locally?

Isadora2007 · 08/01/2017 10:26

Or you could ask him where he bought them as you'd like to buy them as a gift for someone else? Or say a friend admired them and was asking where they were from?

dyzzidi · 08/01/2017 10:28

Warren James had some similar

Is the pendant matching? I have a plain silver tree of life which are very easy to find - mine came from a local market.

Where are you in the country?

OutwardBound2016 · 08/01/2017 10:31

Do you have any local independent jewellers? If so they might be able to point you in the right direction. Do you know if the box had anything written on it?

AlfaMum · 08/01/2017 10:32

Google search brought up these:

They look like the ones. Hope this helps

AlfaMum · 08/01/2017 10:33

Ah just seen PP linked the Warren James website whilst I was searching!

And the Warren James in the town concerned is near a vinyl shop Grin so definitely on his stamping ground! Final proof-does anyone know what colour their boxes are?

Mumsnet magic update!

I went to have a last look for the box and the pendant-and found it behind a sofa (where I had already looked!) And it is indeed Warren James and the box is indeed black. So I have ordered the replacement ear rings and all is well. Thank you so very, very much everybody!

I would not mention it at all- then just treat next Sunday as perfectly normal and see what happens. If she's upset again, then take more action. But I am prepared to bet that it was a one off and if you do!'t make a big deal about it it'all be fine. I have been a theatre mum for 19 years.........

Keep the 'spare' safe but in different place - nowhere he can find it.

Don't ask me why I'm suggesting this...Blush

BertrandRussell · 08/01/2017 20:01

Way ahead of you!

He was so pleased to see me wearing the pendant. And another good thing- I was a bit horrified when I saw how much they cost (they are lovely but not 70 quid lovely) but I found the receipt on the floor of his room and they were in the sale before Christmas!
