OK, I am lucky enough to have long, thick "posh girl" hair. It does go a bit frizzy but is generally Naice Hair.

Long story short, the other day, I omitted my usual "apply conditioner and comb through whilst in shower". My hair was SHIT. It was full of tugs and dried frizzy and was hard to comb/style.

I can now confirm this is what makes the difference.

Buy a comb and keep it in your shower! :-)

What is your TOP TIP for hair or elsewhere on the body?

Doo if I brush mine it does the opposite and makes it more flyaway.

I've been following this thread since the start - I already have a BBH, silk pillowcase, comb through conditioner and avoid silicone. I've now tried the topknot overnight thing (my hair's not really long enough tbh), but I don't feel I'm closer to luscious locks. My hair is fine but lots of it, is that the problem?

Sorrelforbes, my hair in its natural state has been called a Jewfro; think Art Garfunkel crossed with Crystal Tips and the school bus driver from South Park.

The secret for me is washing every morning, because my hair reverts to type overnight. See up thread for how I condition and finish it. The beauty of a Jewfro is that, if you can tame it, the natural frizz curl gives it body.

I did once try having it relaxed, but my hair is clearly too weedy and Caucasian to stand that, as it broke very badly.

I think I would actually kill for hair like Kim's.

Fozzleyplum It sounds like we have similar routines. My hair blow drys very well (I section and use a round brush and a Parlux) but reverts to frizz the minute it hits the outside air! I'm not a huge user of straighteners etc. anyway but have decided to banish them to the back of the drawer for a while to try and get some good condition back. I tend to wash my hair every other day but have to re-bow dry it on the non wash days as it's pretty much vertical when I get up!

My hair is naturally curly, fine, frizz bomb
I colour it so that zaps a lot from it and I use a straightener once a week.(I've used a few of your tips and so far- fabulous!)
I use Aveda but have switched to a gift I received over xmas by Phyto- bloody hell - (for fine hair)hair looks amazing and the shine was fabulous, mine is usually straw like but I've recently had 9 inches cut off and I'm determined to take better care of it.

So far so good.
I'm very intrigued by the BBH and the Parlux ( I also started drying my hair on the second heat setting rather than the third and it's made a huge difference.

Having some of the thickness cut out of the lengths of my hair has greatly improved swishyness in my mid length, curly, frizz prone hair, but only if I bother with blow drying, straightening etc. Off to get myself one of those shower combs tomorrow Smile

ababsurdum · 31/12/2016 18:11

UnderTheGaydar how do you use all those products together? I've got the Phyto 7 hydrating day cream which is nice so tempted to try some more.

UnderTheGaydar · 01/01/2017 20:17

Aba
There's a leave in spray i use at bedtime then I use one of them to blow dry for volume and finally a small amount on the ends for a light straightening
My hair hasn't been shiny for months but now it's lovely! Blush

My hair looks posh on occasion but it's a bit too fine to properly swoosh.
Vinegar really helps if you live in a hard water area as the acid neutralises the alkaline deposits.
I also use a spray of mineral water spray at the end ( cheap as chips in French supermarkets, I buy a load every summer)
Brush with a proper bristle brush, I use denman but if you're proper posh you'll probably use a mason pearson
