Boot cut jeans and heels 👠??? Yes or no ?

Xmas night out tomorrow! Big diet fail ! Soo my skinny jeans are too tight ! In between sizes so if I buy new they will be a bit to big! I have bootcut next ones that are comfy fit but not sure if they would look dated ! Any opinions welcomed thanks ( I'm 50 .. 5.10 and size 12 jeans heading more to 14 ( hence next 12 fit and top shop / river island are a squeeze ! Shoes are red 5 inch heels

My advice really is go in what you feel comfortable in. You don't want your night ruined because you're feeling self conscious all night.
Although my honest opinion is that bootcut jeans are dated and you'd be better wearing the skinny for a bit beforehand to loosen them a bit before wearing them on your night out. You can always wear with a floaty top to disguise any muffin top if they are still a bit tight.

I think it depends how long the jeans are. If they are just below ankle, they'd be too short for such high heels. If they come down over your feel to an inch or two abov the floor, I think they'd be fine.

They are long but I know it's a bad idea ! Il stick to skinnies and wear loose top with the button expanded on a hair bobble !

You could try a little boho seventies retro chic though. Maybe with wedges :)
Most definetly not with stilettos or boots. Very dated. I think the boho look is ok though. I wear bootcut jeans with converse style trainers. I love that look.

I wouldn't wear them with the heels though.

If they're long they will look ok but if you're wearing heels they have to be so long that if you were in flats they would be on the floor. Any shorter and definitely not.

Lots of people look crap in skinny jeans and more balanced in bootlegs. I've got some quite flarey Levi's from EBay, a style number they don't make any more (with bugger all give in the fabric, must predate Lycra) and the only time I get compliments is when I wear them.

Short bootlegs with ankle boots is the worst look ever, that is a massive no-no.

Actually, I think you should go for it assuming they're long enough. Skinnies are old news.

Get them on now and start stretching them! Those corset things make the difference of a size.

I honestly think Cindy looks dated in that pic - it's the boot cut with the heels which does it.
If you were going for a hippy/boho look the jeans would have to come down over your feet with trainers or chunky wedges - but I don't think this is the look the OP will be going for at her xmas do!

Boot cut look absolutely shit as expected!! Not as long as I thought !! Bloody shoes 👠! Haven't wore heels for a while so think I might actually kill myself if I attempt to walk out side !!
