Can I get away with these trousers?

They were a bargain (which is probably why I want to keep them) but I'm not sure if I can pull them off. They are leather, my thighs aren't my best feature so I would only wear them with long tops for casual wear like this. What do you think? (Please don't be too harsh as ive never posted a pic before and am scared!) they are size 12 if that makes any difference

I think they look cool :)

Fuzzypeggy · 14/12/2016 14:24

Thank you. I'm fed up of being cold in the playground so I thought leather would be good, and I'm also trying to buy more (but fewer) quality clothes than a load of cheap stuff that's not quite right but is cheap. I fear that these aren't quite right though and I'm not sure I have the confidence to wear them.

They look lovely on you. Can I ask you where they are from?

burnishedsilver · 14/12/2016 14:29

They look good to me.

BitOutOfPractice · 14/12/2016 14:32

I felt worried before I clicked on the picture but I think they look great.

Fuzzypeggy · 14/12/2016 14:47

This might be a better pic, it's so hard to take a photo of trousers!
For the pp who asked, they're from very, by mylene klass. They have zips at the hip which I don't like and I think they're styles terribly on the website. I still don't know. Thanks for the positive feedback so far. I'm all for women wearing whatever they like regardless of their shape or their age and I'm usually pretty confident but for some reason I can't make my mind up about these

You look great Fuzzy, wear 'em. I would if I had lovely skinny legs like you Grin

QueenMortificado · 14/12/2016 21:33

I too was worried from the title but they look great.

Very few people can wear leather trousers without looking like a sofa or aging rockstar so as you fall in to neither of these categories I'd wear them with pride :)

A plum coloured fine knit jumper would look ace with them btw

Fuzzypeggy · 14/12/2016 22:03

Thanks so much! I can assure you that my legs are far far from skinny, I'm 12-14 with def size 14-16 wobbly thighs but this has made me think that maybe leather trousers are more flattering than I thought. I don't usually wear skinny jeans because of my thighs but now I feel
More confident. Thank you for the kind words.

Yea they look fab! Xmas Smile

QueenMortificado · 14/12/2016 22:08

You should definitely wear skinny jeans, you look much smaller size than what you are and your legs are very slim too

libertydoddle · 14/12/2016 22:09

Fuzzy that's my size and you are now making me want them. They look very good on you. Your legs look v slim.

AnyFucker · 14/12/2016 22:11

The trousers are fab but you need to tidy your bedroom you messy bugger Wink

Fuzzypeggy · 14/12/2016 22:12

See, now I'm thinking that I've put out there a much better photo than reality! I very much look like my size in real life. And I'm honestly not fishing for compliments, I am
At least a stone overweight at the moment but I am reasonably tall so maybe I just about get away with it.

Af, you are not wrong!!

OP posts:
Bingybongybashy · 14/12/2016 22:54

They looking amazing on you. Very flattering!! Lots of people would love to have legs like yours and wear trousers like that!!

BitOutOfPractice · 15/12/2016 05:25

Op you're right they look far far better on you than on the very web site.

ShutTheFuckUpBarbara · 15/12/2016 05:44

They (and you) look good.

You're probably unsure because leather is quite different from other materials and it can take a bit of getting used to at first.

Satisfactorylemon · 15/12/2016 05:53

Im confused as to why you think your thighs are problematic? You have thin legs and a thigh gap. The trousers look ok.
May I suggest wearing them with jumpers instead?

Fuzzypeggy · 15/12/2016 07:13

I really really don't have thin legs or a thigh gap, I'm just standing with my legs apart. My thighs are chubby and definitely rub together! I'm only fitting into a size 12 here because I wanted them tight, the waist is a bit too tight on me to be honest. Thanks again for the positive comments, I'm glad I posted.

This is what they look like with a short top!! A somewhat different story??

You are the same shape as me OP! Id wear them with a long top. Or long cardi open over a long cami

BusterGonad · 15/12/2016 12:03

As another posters has said they would look great with a fine knit jumper, a little slouchy yet smart that finishes just below your tummy. They look good.

scattercushion · 15/12/2016 12:10

A lovely pair of pins and I won't hear differently. Chunky mohair jumper or summat to go with the trousers.

Satisfactorylemon · 15/12/2016 12:18

They look good on you! You look smaller at the top half with a shorter top. You've got a good figure Smile
