Love buying make up, it's my absolute favourite treat! Also love reading others recommendations of their favourite products to give me ideas. I tend to buy online as don't have access to all the brands where I live.

Would love to hear people's favourite products, whether they are classics or new products... or what are the current must have products ?

Currently I love wearing UD naked palettes (original and 2 are my faves), just started wearing Nars all day luminous foundation which I love with nars pressed powder after switching from EL double wear, mac glowbal glow, mac teddy velvet lipstick.. UD perversion mascara, have just ordered smash box primer having used benefit pore-fessional for years, can't wait to try that Smile

Hopefully I can get some ideas for xmas Xmas Smile

I love bare minerals complexion rescue hydrating gel. It's a light foundation and gives a very slightly dewy finish, makes my skin look younger. I bloody love it!

3INA lipsticks are matt and very long lasting. The best ever I've tried.

Laura Merciar Eye Caviar Sticks - I find them brilliant, super long lasting and can be used as base for shadow or worn on own. They're my Holy Gal Grail make-up product. Great "starter" kit on sale for Christmas right now. I love all of the LM stuff I've used.

No.7 'Lovely' mascara - always swore by Mac X but this is great and often on offer!

Anastasia Beverley Hills eyebrow pomade - brilliant colours, doesn't budge in rain or heat, natural looking.

GOSH eyebrow pencil - good alternative if in a rush. I use this when travelling

Benefit Dallas bronzer - I'm very pale but this doesn't look sex-doll cheeks on my face

Also, been using Nyx chunky eye sticks and lipbutters for more fashiony colours - great price, good quality

bingohandjob · 04/12/2016 07:19

Nyx do great matte lipsticks.
I had a sample of the Charlotte Tilbury mascara and was deeply unimpressed - awful brush, wishywashy colour and it ran within a few hours.

wishiwasacollie · 04/12/2016 08:01

I heard that dior were discontinuing glow maximiser but found some on Allbeauty so bought two.....
Armani foundation works best for me.
Loved Estee lauder cocoa rose lipstick but it was discontinued....

worrierandwine · 04/12/2016 08:24

My favourites often get discontinued! I loved Nars lip lacquer in Chelsea girls (perfect nude, lovely formulation) but they only do that shade in gloss now...I'm yet to try.

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 04/12/2016 09:04

Nars Gypsy Lipstick.

Semi sheer, beautiful, easy to wear red.

Also Chanel Coco Shine lipsticks, great colours

And I keep going back to Heathy Mix Serum foundation. Remarkably similar to YSL Touche Eclat and Nars Sheer Glow at a fraction of the price.

'The best eye pallette I've got is called Fortune favours the brave by a blogger. It costs about £8 and is excellent.
it's by Revolution'

I have this too, use it every day and have given it to a couple of friends! Lovely range of colours, good pigment, hardly any fall down. £10 from Make Up Revolution - absolute bargain

endofacentury · 04/12/2016 09:14

Spent all night reading Mrs gloss & the goss on fb, great page thanks for the recommendation! Then have spent hours putting things into online shopping baskets.. but haven't checked out yet Grin I find it hard to exercise self control with make up! So many great ideas, have loved reading this thread - keep them coming Smile

Can anyone recommend some nice natural looking lip colours for teen dd?

woodhill · 04/12/2016 09:26

I really liked the Clinique butter shine lipsticks such as Pink goddess and pink a boo. They are non drying. Also like their quick liner

WobblyLondoner · 04/12/2016 09:29

Great post, marking so I can come back.

Some of the under eye concealer suggestions look interesting - I currently use Clarins instant concealer which is excellent (but always looking for better, have awful under eye circles!). I came across that via Sali Hughes who is great IMO. For eg:

Just about to try Clarins Instant Concealer on Sali Hughes' recommendation so good to hear a positive review from you Wobbly Smile
