Not expensive, as I can't splurge but in desperate need of effective hand cream, preferably non greasy so can apply several times a day without having to wait ages each time for hands to "dry"!

TIA

Balance me - best one I've used in ages and smells Devine!

JenniferAnistonsHair · 01/12/2016 19:08

Aveeno hand cream

Marmitelover55 · 01/12/2016 19:12

Body shop hemp hand cream.

VivienneWestwoodsKnickers · 01/12/2016 19:15

Norwegian Formula. Amazing stuff.

snowgirl1 · 01/12/2016 21:06

Aveeno. Bought it on recommendation of mn. It's good.

Mrs9C · 01/12/2016 21:10

Norwegian formula is excellent, you only need the tiniest dot of it to work.

Paulat2112 · 01/12/2016 21:18

This is my favourite stuff! Only thing that heals DH cracked fingers

TheWayYouLookTonight · 01/12/2016 21:21

Another vote for Body Shop hemp

MontyPythonsFlyingFuck · 01/12/2016 21:24

Aveeno is the best of the non-spendy handcreams, I reckon (beige tube with green lid).

Also good:
L'Occitane Shea butter (£££) - greasy so only for use at night IMO
Body Shop Hemp (££) - also heavy duty and better as a night cream
Neal's Yard geranium and orange - look out for 50ml tubes as freebies with magazines - lovely smell, good daytime one, £££ if you buy it but the cost of a (crappy) magazine for it seems reasonable to me.

Two more esoteric ones - Essie used to do one called something like Hand Repair, which was AWESOME and so has obviously been discontinued. And the Bliss ones are really good but hard to find - not the body lotion, the hand cream. I got several little 30ml tubes in TK Maxx a few months back for £2 each, but I haent seen it since.

Body Sop Hemp.

I have been using it for years. Had a short break as had been gifted other hand creams and they were nowhere near as good.

the Hemp cream is very rich and smells a bit funky but keeps my hands and nails in excellent condition.

I stock up regularly.

Another vote for body shop hemp. The best Star

Thelastusername · 01/12/2016 21:55

The body shop hemp is good but smells like a dirty tramp. Burt's bees almond and milk one is nice too, very good, smells nice in the pot but has quite a strong smell which changes when you put it on. That one is about £9. Nivea Q10plus age defying hand cream is also very good and not ££.

anonymousbird · 02/12/2016 15:25

Thanks all. Where I was this morning had Norwegian Formula. Handy sized tube as well! Have used twice already and feeling less chapped ....

MadisonAvenue · 02/12/2016 15:29

I was just going to say Neutrogena Norwegian Formula - it's dead cheap, you only have to use a small bit and it works so well!

nurseinwonderland · 02/12/2016 15:33

Palmers coco butter. I have the worst hands imaginable.
It smells like chocolate though...

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 02/12/2016 15:36

Aldi in the white tube.

Pinkkahori · 02/12/2016 15:37

Eucerin intensive with 5% urea. I get really dry, chapped knuckles and it sorted them out

comeagainforbigfudge · 02/12/2016 15:44

I bought some primark stuff recently. Only a £1 (maybe £1.50) but so far really nice!! Quite "thick" , so dont feel the need to keep reapplying, but absorbs nicely so doesn't have that feeling of "dry motherfuckers, dry" that some handcreams leave me feeling that body shop hemp one for instance

hecallsmebunny · 02/12/2016 20:06

Aveeno!

theansweris42 · 03/12/2016 07:53

You need one with urea if your hands are very dry/sore. Flexitol do one (amazon, boots etc, about 6 quid) or there one in a tub called udderly smooth.

glenthebattleostrich · 03/12/2016 07:58

I usually use aveno but got some neals yard in my advent calendar which is gorgeous.

Also there is an offer in today's telegraphf or a free l'octane set which has a small handful cream in, worth it as a treat.

SeaRabbit · 03/12/2016 08:09

Body shop hemp for me too - I tried Clarins hand & nail as a treat but it's not as good. I don't much like the smell of the hemp stuff, but gosh it's good, and feels nice on, which I don't find with Norwegian formula.

notagiraffe · 03/12/2016 08:14

Palmers Cocoa Butter. makes your hands smell of chocolate but works even better than Norwegian formula. I hate Body Shop hemp. It smells bad, stays greasy for ages and weirdly seems to attract dirt to my hands. They end up looking grubby very quickly when I apply it so I gave up, though others seem to love it.

MusterTheRohirim · 03/12/2016 08:17

I like my body shop almond one. It sounds a bit lighter than the hemp.

fortyfourfeasts · 03/12/2016 08:45

Another vote for Aveeno! I got a free sample of a clarins hand cream in a red tube which was really good too.
