I've got some vouchers to use here, what should I buy?

I hear the foundation is excellent and also the Ibiza sticks. Any recommendations?

I've tried lipstick foundation eyeliner which were OK . Definitely recommend eyeshadows and films star bronze and glow . Only thing I hated was blush which crumbled after a couple of months

Pillow Talk lip liner and Bitch Perfect lipstick are lovely!

Magic foundation is shaving, like you're not wearing anything but gives you this amazing look.

I Also have legendary lashes again another fab product.

My friends swear by her highlight kit too

hmm. I hated the magic foundation - my skin developed horrible flaky dry patches. Do love the lipsticks though...

Another recommendation for Bitch Perfect lipstick. I have quite a few CT products and that's a favourite along with the eyeshadow palette in The Sophisticate (classy matte neutrals) and the Filmstar Bronze and Glow.

Magic foundation, wonderglow-- to use as a primer or alone, it is amazing! I also have the bond girl lipstick.
Heard a lot of good things about their magic cream

The only thing I like is the Bond girl lipstick,and rock and kohl eye liner, the rest is meh.

Avoid the eye crayons at all costs. They just slide right off and crease after a couple of hours and I don't even have oily eyelids!

I wear contacts and her eyeliners and crayons managed to create a film over my lenses that meant after about half an hour I could barely see. I hadn't even put them near my waterline but they migrated ONTO MY EYEBALL. I thought I was being cack handed despite this not happening with any other brand I have ever used so gave it another go a week later - same thing happened and I ended up wiping the whole lot off badly in a restaurant bathroom and then sitting like a deranged panda for a while until a friend remembered she had some wipes in her bag so I could finish the job properly.
Never again. Her eyeshadows however? Fine. I can't fathom it.

LadyOfTheCanyon, when Charlotte Tilbury launched in Selfridges I happened to be there on the first day. The woman herself did my eyes. 20 minutes later it was all on my cheeks and my lenses were distinctly cloudy. Fortunately I wear disposables and I had a spare pair in my bag.

Lady, I had exactly the same issue! I had the eyeshadow stick applied to my lids and lash line and I couldn't see properly for hours after. I had to run to Boots to buy some lens cleaner and face wipes to get it all off. I've used cheaper cream sticks (Kiko, Barry M, NYX) and never had that problem, so would steer clear of her eye makeup if you wear contacts.

The rest was all a bit 'meh'. Fine in artificial light but looked glittery and aging in daylight

The blush crumbles up. I had it happen twice (I really liked the shade and thought the first time was a fluke.) That compact with bronzer and highlight is OK but you can get the same for much less money.

I suspect the whole line is a bunch of hype.

If someone lives near both a CT counter and a Kiko, could you do a side by side comparison of a CT lipstick and Kiko Velvet Passion Matte? I saw pics of CT lipsticks and the bullet shape looked suspiciously like my Kiko lippy. Someone else has suspected it as well - both are made in Italy. I'm dying to know - but no CT near me...

I had a look after the last time you mentioned that and linked that article Frugal. They are very similar, the Kiko ones are slightly matter as the CT has the slightest hint of light reflecting shimmer in them (undetectable unless you're looking really closely but the overall effect is less 'dead' matte iyswim). Kiko colours all tended to be on the pinkier/warm side whilst CT tended to be cooler and the reds more strongly pigmented (couldn't tell if that was due to how it coloured against my skin or the formulation though, the CT suited my skin tone better). CT Very Victoria and Kiko's 302 Beige Rose seemed to be the only colours that were nearly identical from my pinkish/reddish sampling.

The INCI's are different though, so I'm thinking the Kiko are similar but not the exact same (but I'm really no expert on makeup formulations).

I don't think her range is anything to write home about tbh. It is a bit glittery and ageing in daylight and as pp have said, other ranges are just as good for less money.

Wow thanks for the analysis Botemp - curiosity satisfied! I agree about Kiko shade range, it's the Italian version of MAC and everything there is geared toward warmer skintones. I'm pale and fairly cool-toned and usually only a few of their endless offerings are just right for me!

Never looked at Kiko that way before Frugal, but makes a lot of sense even when the tones do suit cooler undertones it's always geared to make you look 'warmer'. I've just realised that subconsciously I veer away from my Kiko things come winter time (when the light tends to be harsher and bluer ime) in favour of others.

I was very drawn to the CT mattes recently and still do think the lipsticks are lovely. I have had the beach sticks in the past but they disintegrate and lose shape after awhile so felt a poor investment, I initially loved the retoucher concealer but it began to come across as slightly grey after a few months. Liked the original mascara but the feline flick pen was utter pants.

Despite the mixed bag of results and appeal of their counters I have, however, decided to no longer buy from CT. There was a recent 'scandal' on Youtube where several highly grossing youtubers all seemed to be reccing the same CT lipstick (Kim W. quite a hard shade to pull off) at a specific time/specific length of time/specific type of video, I can't remember the exact details but there were too many coincidences for it to be accidental.

Anyhow, it's not the first time that the suggestion has been made that CT pay for this type of native advertising where sponsorship/payment is purposely not disclosed and I just don't want to contribute to brands that operate like that knowingly and on the whole I tend to find the products too expensive for what they are and a lot of the packaging is plastic and the rose gold simply rubs off so I can't even justify the premium prices in that either.

I'm a bit put off by that kind of social media strategy as well

That's funny Botemp, the same winter-summer thing is true for me! I used to live in Italy and the light there is different and I was more tan year round. I'm neutral/cool so some warm tones suit me but I tend to wear them more in summer. However, Kiko always have a few good cool mauves. Chanel used to excel at providing endless great cool shades perfect for pale blonde people (they are still my winter faves) but they have changed too and I've lost interest.

I've found better things in Kiko than CT. I really get on with the eye and Lip makeup remover. thanks for the warning about the CT eye crayons, they sound ridiculous! Bar a few lipsticks, the rest looked rubbish.

I'm not blonde but do prefer to embrace the pale come winter time (when you suddenly realise how ridiculous a product bronzer really is ) and have noticed the same with Chanel recently. Really wanted to like the new matte lipgloss oils but the colours all screamed summer to me. Strangely have been hovering towards the Dior counter which I've always thought of as a bit old fashioned in the makeup department but they have some seriously lovely things albeit with even more lethal price tags than Chanel.

I hate her foundation but really love her Amazing Grace lipstick. Could be my all time favourite lipstick.
