M&s beauty calendar

So I want the fabled beauty calendar but I can't find anything to buy on the m&s website.

I need...
New ankle boots
A LBD
Dressy tops for evenings out.
But there is nothing I even want to try on!

I have 3 children aged 1-6 but can only find new socks for them.

What can I buy? Confused

They had LOADS of calendars in the Sevenoaks branch yesterday. I got some boots (had a birthday voucher to use up) and was offered one but wasn't tempted as have got so many samples/little bits to use up that I would have felt a bit overloaded getting more! It is great value though, maybe I might have a rethink Smile

HoneyDragon · 11/11/2016 20:23

If you get the £15 nail polisher online, you get the Calendar for the £35 and and free make up bag. Plus free delivery.

£50 spend in total

P1nkP0ppy · 11/11/2016 20:38

The Bath store had hundreds of the calendars all over the shop this morning, I didn't see anyone picking one up!
The sales assistant said they weren't selling ☹️
I had a really good look at it and I'm really not sure I'd use 80% of the contents to be honest, so count me out.

BarbaraofSeville · 11/11/2016 20:43

They had thousands in Owlcotes, Leeds this afternoon and I really dithered about buying one, as I had spent £55, but didn't because I don't wear make up and I only really wanted the facial suncream and the Burts Bees stuff.

The assistants were saying they would sell out within 24 hours but I don't know if they were just trying to trick people into panic buying.

I'll be annoyed at the missed opportunity if people are making a killing next week selling them on ebay.

Twogoats · 11/11/2016 22:22

Tbh, I don't think they're a good deal...

I really don't like how you have to spend £35 in order just to buy it first... Seems cheeky!

BusterGonad · 12/11/2016 08:19

Vulva I've found one on the Asda web site!

I didnt want one in the first place but really don't now after being insulted by the store assistant at Westfield! Her supervisor asked her why she didn't offer me one as I'd spent over £35 and the cheeky mare said (as if I wasn't there) "she doesn't look like the type to want one". Who's she to judge whether I did or didn't?! Angry

happypoobum · 12/11/2016 08:47

allin Shock

You should have stabbed her Wink

Bubbinsmakesthree · 12/11/2016 09:04

Wow allin Shock. I assume she must have meant you're such a natural radiant beauty you couldn't possible need one?

Sounds like they've realised they have overstocked this year - they don't normally push offers on you at M&S like this.

There's a lot more competition this year and raising the price from £25 to £35 this year pushes it from 'complete steal' to 'a bit extravagant', especially when combined with £35 additional spend.

Tantpoke · 12/11/2016 09:17

I can't wait to open mine up everyday in December for a lovely treat, I deserve it Wink
I think it's great value and really pleased I got one this year because I missed out last year.
Allin that's awful, I reckon her supervisor was not impressed with her attitude at all.

Inkspot · 12/11/2016 09:22

I agree, I bought one as I regretted not last year, but I am not totally convinced that it is amazingly value for £35 and I did think quite hard about it. For £25 it would have been a no brainer. I think they will have lots left

Honey couldn't see that offer today

Nottheshrinkingcapgrandpa · 12/11/2016 10:11

It's out of stock online- just went to get mine :(

Dillite2 · 12/11/2016 14:44

There are loads at Bluewater, if anyone is still after one. I bought mine today. The crowds are crazy busy though, so it was hard to find the initial £35 to spend.

gaggiagirl · 12/11/2016 14:47

notthe get ye to your nearest marks, all stores are very well stocked with them by the sounds of it.

I thought they had sold out on line especially as mine and a few folks seem to be dispatched separately from the rest of the order.

SuckingEggs · 12/11/2016 15:11

Zillions at our local store.

OverScentedFanjo · 12/11/2016 15:20

I ordered mine online, I've had the despatch email but no mention of the calendar Hmm rang up M&S customer services, spoke to a very sleepy sounding teenager who said "probably it will be despatched separately on Tuesday" I asked why Tuesday and he mumbled something about that's when they come out? I did say they are in stores now, but tbh he sounded so fed up I couldnt be arsed to carry on. So who knows if I'll get mine.

Kennington · 12/11/2016 15:27

For me it was worth it for the hair products, in generous sizes; the liquid gold and the crystal nail file.
The rest I plan to use as stocking fillers.
I shop in m and s a fair bit so it wasn't a worry. Pyjamas, cashmere, underwear and ankle boots are m and s staples!

BusterGonad · 12/11/2016 15:53

OverScentedFanjo my order has arrived today (fake fur coat, lush) but NOT the calendar, on my confo email it says dispatching on Tuesday. Do not fear it will come.

PetraDelphiki · 12/11/2016 16:03

Loads in store near me...and no quibbles about it when I tried on the clothing I ordered to get the calendar and then returned it! I did keep about £20 worth of stuff but I don't think they would have cared if I'd returned all of it!

LordRothermereBlackshirtCunt · 12/11/2016 16:40

Decided not to get it in the end. There wasn't anything else I particularly wanted in M&S and was only interested in four of the products. Splashed out the £70 on beauty treats elsewhere - ones that I've actually been eyeing up for a while. If it had been last year's pricing, I might have gone for it.

Howaboutthisone · 12/11/2016 16:59

Picked my order up today and I'm really happy with it! I'm going to use it like a real advent calendar and open one each day and use it! I'm worryingly pleased and feel like I'm treating myself BlushSmile

Arsenicinthesugarbowl · 12/11/2016 19:37

I'm happy with mine and plan to do the same as you how. This will be like a little surprise each day and I wouldn't normally treat myself to lots of new products to try.
