M&s beauty calendar

So I want the fabled beauty calendar but I can't find anything to buy on the m&s website.

I need...
New ankle boots
A LBD
Dressy tops for evenings out.
But there is nothing I even want to try on!

I have 3 children aged 1-6 but can only find new socks for them.

What can I buy? Confused

Yes, quite happy with today's offering!

Howaboutthisone · 18/12/2016 07:57

It smells lovely!

CaoNiMerrilyOnHigh · 18/12/2016 08:04

I just slathered it all over my lower legs to spur me on during forward bending in yoga!!

I might have to investigate the rest of the range.

This calendar is such a clever move by M&S and the brands!

AmethystMoon · 18/12/2016 10:36

Pleased today's is nice - I just bought a friend a box set of this stuff for Christmas but I was shopping with a verge-of-tantrum toddler and had to just grab the first suitably priced set in the shop! Xmas Blush. Fortunately it smells lovely!

happychristmasbum · 18/12/2016 12:42

justputyourshoeson How bizarre! I was going to post almost identically! Used the eye cream for the first time today and sort of felt like I was pressing lard onto my face - is that what yours was like?

Todays cream is so lovely - smells like heaven, very happy (and it's a reasonable size)

BillStickersIsInnocent · 18/12/2016 12:48

I was puzzled by today's responses - 'slathered all over my lower legs' !?

Until DD pointed out I'd opened tomorrow's box by mistake. 😀😀

Eye cream is a weird texture, don't like it at all

TheBitterBoy · 18/12/2016 12:49

Today's is lovely, and a good size too. I agree the marketing is working on me. I've already bought one of the Neals Yard hand creams for SIL for Christmas, and I might pop and get one of these to add to it. I would definitely buy the Rodial peel, maybe the time filler too. Haven't tried the elasticiser yet, but have high hopes. I've also liked the nails inc nail varnish, I haven't found it to chip more easily than other nail varnishes, and I like the glossy finish and the wide brush.

mowglik · 18/12/2016 12:53

Love today's cream it's one of my favourite scents (cherry blossoms). Never paid rituals much notice before may have a nosey next time I am in a dept store. I love the usual suspects in the box (nuxe, liquid gold etc) but I'm glad we are being introduced to new brands as well.

The eye cream is really a funny texture but completely melts when you rub it in, so it doesn't drag, at least on me

MoonlightMedicine · 18/12/2016 12:55

I love the texture of they eye cream. And it's so cooling.

CointreauVersial · 18/12/2016 13:35

Body lotion is a bit of a yawn for me - I very rarely use it (just on my legs in the summer), and I have about six bottle/tubes received as gifts/part of sets etc. in my drawer that I haven't even opened. The Rituals shower foam from last year's calendar was lovely, though, so I'm sure it's a good product.

Needastrongone · 18/12/2016 15:54

I am happy again, I like a nice body lotion. I really don't think we've much to moan about have we? I'll be sad when it's over Smile

maggiso · 18/12/2016 21:56

I use the Ren sensitive face cream so am pleased to have a travel size. I like the elasticizer - I got one last year, and bought more as a result. I vaguely recall reading that it is based on a formulation developed for Audrey Hepburn - or did I just hope for beautiful thick looking hair? Last years calendar was my first advent calendar since childhood - and I thought it brilliant. I agree Reveal, I think last years was better, but possibly because it was novel- and I was new to most of the brands ( I live near an out of town store that now has a beauty department).
I have at last risked trying out the Radial acid peel on my sensitive skin- avoiding my red (rosacea) cheeks and leaving it on just shy of the recommended time. I'll report back if it causes problems.

Dillite2 · 19/12/2016 01:18

I just left the elasticiser on for an hour whilst wrapping presents. My hair better be jumping in the morning!

I have opened the next 4 days. I have to say that I am rather disappointed- the last 3 days better be amazing!

CaoNiMerrilyOnHigh · 19/12/2016 07:16

This calendar is totally what gets me out of bed on these dark mornings! I'm thinking of getting the Nuxe 10 Days of Christmas so I have something to look forward to after Christmas Day Xmas Blush

I like the look of today's hair balm. Another brand I've never tried before. Also smells fab.

YouWereRight · 19/12/2016 07:20

I'm excited about today's. I'm going to have to Google to work out what how its best used though.

How much elasticiser should I be using? I have chin length hair.

AmethystMoon · 19/12/2016 07:49

I've used today's already, I just spread a blob through towel dried hair, quick comb through and blow dried. Very good Xmas Smile

AwkwardSquad · 19/12/2016 08:01

Not sure about today's, I have fine hair which gets weighted down very easily if I use too much stuff in it. IT tried the elasticizer yesterday - a small blob worked through and left, hair wrapped in a warm towel, for about 10 minutes. Hair certainly seems to have more oomph this morning!

mowglik · 19/12/2016 08:30

I've been looking forward to todays one since I had a sneak look at the contents when buying the calendar. Smells gorgeous I hope the smell lingers in the hair Xmas Grin

I tried the elasticiser yesterday, only left it on for about 5 min so not sure if I see much of a difference today. Will try it again Xmas eve

MoonlightMedicine · 19/12/2016 11:24

Today's is working wonders on my hair!

OverScentedFanjo · 19/12/2016 11:44

What do I do with today's? My hair is very oily and I don't normally use anything in it. It looks flat and heavy most of the time. It's straight and doesn't curl or wave or clink, it's very boring.

RubyWinterstorm · 19/12/2016 15:48

Worried today's is mainly silicone?

ie, great instabt result but long term weighs hair down making it... lank and lifeless Wink?

CointreauVersial · 19/12/2016 15:58

I'm not convinced by today's offering either. I don't use styling products on my hair as it weighs it down.

TheInimitableMrsFanshawe · 19/12/2016 16:16

Awkward I also have very fine, thin hair and I used the balm this morning. I was worried I'd overdone it, but I got lovely salon swishy hair and it's not weighted it down any more than my usual products. Quite a masculine scent I would say, but I like it. The Josh Wood hair oil was also lovely and not too heavy.
