M&s beauty calendar

So I want the fabled beauty calendar but I can't find anything to buy on the m&s website.

I need...
New ankle boots
A LBD
Dressy tops for evenings out.
But there is nothing I even want to try on!

I have 3 children aged 1-6 but can only find new socks for them.

What can I buy? Confused

I don't like the texture of today's offering - reminds me of the foodstuff in 2001 (except not blue)

Love the nails inc polish although needed two coats, and took ages to dry.

Also love the EH balm, have been wanting to try that for a while. Mixing a tiny bit with hot water to make a milk, massaging on then removing with warm flannel

Really pleased so far, all great products and decent sizes.

CaoNiMerrilyOnHigh · 13/12/2016 07:12

Today's is interesting! Smells kind of like mild soy sauce. I will reserve judgment until I see what it does for the old eye bags.

MoonlightMedicine · 13/12/2016 07:25

Loving today's. Feels really cool and soothing under the eye.

MoonlightMedicine · 13/12/2016 07:25

My favourite so far has been the hair oil, which I have lost after just one use. I can't find it anywhere :(

playmobilpeacock · 13/12/2016 07:51

The eye cream has a very odd texture, like a crumbly jelly Confused

Although I'd use anything if it made my eyes look less tired.

Morning Xmas Smile Well today's is a bit of a tiny old pot isn't it! Might regift that one.. And sad news on the nails inc varnish... Love the colour but it chips easily. Didn't even manage one day at work! Sad I'll try giving it a clear topcoat today.

Used the Rodial again last night, am really liking it. Agree that we need a good moisturiser now to go with it.

Cranberry nail varnish was lovely but chipped quickly.

Bit meh about the brush, practcal but boring.

Have heard good reviews about the eye cream.

CaoNiMerrilyOnHigh · 13/12/2016 08:40

Update: I put the eyecream on about an hour ago. It definitely lightened the eyebags! I'll put some more on and see what it does for the puffiness.

MoonlightMedicine · 13/12/2016 09:25

Yes and you only need the tiniest bit of the eye cream so it should last a while.

woodhill · 13/12/2016 10:09

The cranberry nail varnish chipped really quickly on me too but it was pretty

OverScentedFanjo · 13/12/2016 10:10

Tiddly pot of eye cream. Not sure I can fit my fat fingers into the pot.

Bubbinsmakesthree · 13/12/2016 11:32

Gah I keep seeing this on 'threads I'm on' before I've opened my calendar and spoiling the surprise!

I've always found Nails Inc polish chips terribly although this one has actually lasted a few days including some serious washing up - perhaps because i'd dabbed some of the M&S polish over the top?

sleighmyname · 13/12/2016 11:35

Moonlight I feel your pain as my eyeliner has disappeared. I highly suspect dd1 hand in it but she denies emphatically Hmm

Not sure about today's I'm not really one for eye cream but will give it a whirl

alotlikeChristmas16 · 13/12/2016 13:02

think the haul is pretty decent so far, between myself and DD we're happy to have all of the items. The eye cream is tiddly but they always are, at least it's a good trial.

carelesswhisper27 · 13/12/2016 13:36

Which nail polish are people finding is chipping? I've got the autograph one on, with a revlon top coat, since Saturday and not one chip Smile

cakeinmyfacehole · 13/12/2016 14:06

I was just going to ask that careless. I was going to re-gift one of the nail varnishes. but wanted to know which was the better one before I do.

I love the eye cream - made my eye bags feel spritely. Not sure they look any different but I'll give it time.

RubbishRobotFromTheDawnOfTime · 13/12/2016 14:16

I used the eye cream this morning and the skin is looking much smoother than normal. Usually my concealer sits in the lines making me look dry and wrinkly but not today.

Costacoffeeplease · 13/12/2016 14:19

I've had the autograph nail polish on since I got it and it hasn't chipped at all

Needastrongone · 13/12/2016 16:26

So, what's everyone's favourite so far, and has anyone twitched and purchased, or plans to purchase?

My favourite is The Emma Hardie cleaning balm, and I have twitched as it's made my skin unbelievably soft and fresh. I'll probably get the hand cream too from day one.

Least likely so far to get the nail varnishes.

carelesswhisper27 · 13/12/2016 17:41

My favourite is either the hair oil or the eyeko liner; it really is a fab liner and stays on all day. I wear liquid liner every day though so for me it's a staple product.

Tried liquid gold Saturday night and now have not one, not two but three(!) huge spots on my previously clear skin. Not impressed ShockSad

happychristmasbum · 13/12/2016 17:58

I was hoping for a good quality eye cream so delighted with this. Will try it later.

My favourite product so far, the one I am most likely to purchase, is, funnily enough from Day 1, the amazing hand cream. I love the smell and it doesn't seem as greasy as the crappy nivea ones I am used to.

Trulymadlymotherly · 13/12/2016 18:33

I think my favourite is the Emma Hardie balm. My skin's really dry so it's perfect for me. Might buy in the new year once Xmas expenses are over. Love the hand cream, the hair oil and the eyeliner too. I want to like the acid peels but like pps I seem to have got spots with them. I don't rate the moisturiser much but i don't really have many wrinkles (not a stealth boast-the fat's filling them out)

TheInimitableMrsFanshawe · 13/12/2016 20:01

My least favourite was the hand cream, we got looooaaads last year which I still haven't touched. I can't put my finger on what the Emma Hardie balm smells like, but I know I've smelled it before.

Autograph polish has been on since Friday afternoon and only just chipping round the edges. Love the Nails Inc colour, looking forward to trying that.

BumWad · 13/12/2016 20:05
