M&s beauty calendar

So I want the fabled beauty calendar but I can't find anything to buy on the m&s website.

I need...
New ankle boots
A LBD
Dressy tops for evenings out.
But there is nothing I even want to try on!

I have 3 children aged 1-6 but can only find new socks for them.

What can I buy? Confused

I put it on one nail and then took it off.

I think it's more summery personally. Sort of pink/berry shimmer fine glitter.

Costacoffeeplease · 09/12/2016 21:22

Here you go, not expertly applied Smile

Yes, almost metallic

OverScentedFanjo · 09/12/2016 21:26

Not a pearl one.

I think it's better suited to blondes - dd loves it but it isn't floating my boat, not quite red enough for festive surely?

Howaboutthisone · 09/12/2016 21:34

Lovely!

Couldn't be more festive if it had bells and flashing lights on. Xmas Smile

I'm so loving my calendar. I also have the l'occitane one but the m&s is loads better.

I bought my 75 year old MIL one as well and we text each morning to discuss - great way to bond!

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 09/12/2016 23:38

I've just drunkeny applied the nail varnish. ''Tis lovely. (Now, I suspect will notice how badly applied and pinky it is in the morning)

I also used liquid gold last night. I had to get up at 3am to wash it off as it was so stingy. Tonight ipuf my usual amount of makeup on but it looks like I have more on. I wonder if it is sitting on top of my peeled skin rather than sinking in?

HoneywithLemon · 10/12/2016 00:14

Can someone tell me what was in today's box as day 9 of my calendar was empty! Cheers.

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 10/12/2016 00:20

Nooooo! How rubbish. It was an autograph nail varnish - cranberry colour.

Liiinoo · 10/12/2016 00:23

I am pleased with most things so far. Even the stuff I won't use (the eyebrow thing (my eyebrows need nurturing and fertilising not taming) and today's nail varnish (I tend to have shellac) will find a home with a friend or a DD. But the Sun Block was pretty disappointing. Tiny and unseasonable. That will be heading straight for the grey file.

MyNewHobbyIsGin · 10/12/2016 00:37

I'd like to try and swap the nail varnish instore for something I might wear (its really not me) any idea if that's possible from past year experiences?

TheBitterBoy · 10/12/2016 00:51

I'm really happy with the nail varnish, love the colour and the wide brush. The two lid thing is the same as Chanel nail varnishes.
I wore the nail varnish, the eye liner and my newly peeled and filled skin to my work Christmas do this evening and felt suitably fabulous Grin

Bubbinsmakesthree · 10/12/2016 02:19

Not a big fan of the nail varnish sadly, those pearly/metallic finishes aren't really me.

I can't imagine you'd be able to swap the colour in store but if anyone has the audacity to try it I would love to know the results!

MoonlightMedicine · 10/12/2016 06:14

I used the liquid gold and didn't get any stinging at all. Or even tingling. My skin must be very tough Grin

YouWereRight · 10/12/2016 06:40

Iuch prefer the finish and colour of today's offering.

FourEyesGood · 10/12/2016 07:58

I was a bit disappointed to find another nail varnish today, but this one's much more me. I'm going to give yesterday's away (HoneywithLemon - would you like mine? I'm happy to put it in a Jiffy bag and post it to you) but I'll definitely wear today's.

CaoNiMerrilyOnHigh · 10/12/2016 08:03

More polish! I like this one better, and am interested by the "one coat gel" element.

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 10/12/2016 08:11

Another polish? Oh no. After I so carefully (drunkenly) applied yesterday's? Seems weird to have the same thing two days in a row?

happychristmasbum · 10/12/2016 08:12

I was a bit disappointed to get another nail polish today. I wonder if someone knew that some of us (not me) would not like yesterdays and so they out them on consecutive days so there was a polish for everyone kind of thing?

I am a bit prone to overthinking!!

I like it, would just have preferred it spaced out from yesterdays. I have had problems taking off gel polish before so I don't usually use it, but as it is so very expensive - online retails for £13 - £15 I am hoping it won't be so hard to budge? Unless someone has a top tip for me?

happychristmasbum · 10/12/2016 08:13

X post Truth Xmas Grin

jelly10 · 10/12/2016 08:15

I love both the nail polishes, and despite being a bit of a nail polish addict they are different enough from ones I already have to make me excited to try them...but like PPs it's a bit disappointing to have them 2 days in a row! I think it would have been better to space them out a bit. Oh well, one for fingers and one for toes!
