Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish reaction

Experienced cystic spots (big and painful) mostly along jawline that have left scars. Was okay with C&P for a couple of months until possibly opening a new tube.

Wondered if it maybe after prolonged use cream cleansers are simply too rich for my skin.

Anyone else come across the same? Was it down to the Liz Earle brand (I hear formulae has changed) and have you found an alternative that works?

Minesa the night cream is one of my absolute favourites

TeeK · 06/11/2016 20:19

Minesa, thanks for your response and glad to hear the SD range is working for you.

TheClick, I was contacted to recall my purchase. Anyone know what reactions were caused from the bacteria? They talk about infections...

Skin has improved greatly since removing C&P from skincare regime. Have been using the SD naturally radiant range and am mightily impressed...

Update on my previous post. I'm about 10 days into SD Naturally Radiant regime. Still liking the cleanser - have already made a repeat purchase as it is BOGOF, and also got the day cream and the night cream. The day cream and the night cream have now, sadly, been relegated to body moisturisers. After about a week I noticed the day cream just wasn't enough for me and was having to reapply a couple of times during the day - not easy when you're wearing make so just dabbed it on and then brushed a bit of Laura Geller B & B over the top - it sufficed until I got home. Night cream same. Instead of waking up with soft hydrated skin it just felt itchy and dry. I'd stopped using my Revitalift Laser Renew because I thought the formula had changed, but in desperation yesterday used it and it was fine! Put it on again this morning and face feels comfortable and not tight. Think the reaction I had (which prompted the SD purchase) was caused by a sample of Clinique serum rather than my moisturiser! Still happy to have discovered the Naturally Radiant cleanser though, that's fab Smile

Minesa, shame the SD moisturisers didn't work for you. I'm yet to give them a go. Did you get along with LE moisturisers?

OP posts:
MinesaPinot · 15/11/2016 20:59

TeeK No, I never got on with the LE moisturisers to be honest. I always struggled with the smell and found them a bit greasy. Actually, to be fair, I love the texture of the Superskin but again, the smell - that slightly fishy smell put me off (funny that!). Even the Neroli one that they brought out didn't suit me. Shame because it is the best LE moisturiser I think. I was disappointed that the SD moisturisers didn't work for me, but on the basis that I got them free I'm not too disappointed.

Going strong with the Superdrug Naturally Radiant line...

Aftermath of the CP nearly all gone

I was using the liz earl cleanse and polish back many years ago i felt at first it was excelent for my rosecea prone skin, but a bit later on i wanted to try and find less exspencesive simalar products to this product so for few years i just couldnt compare it to anything thing else i bought for my skin so i headed straight back to lizs cleans and polish , but oh my word when i tryed it again my skin literally flared right up and has left my skin under mu mouth and chin in angry red spot s and very sore dry skin what on earth has happened to it used to be great for me but now its terrible on me shame cause i used to live it so much .
