Hello ..I have posted a couple of months ago about extensions but I tried somewhere new and they are even worse than the last lot..
This is my hair..it's ratty and no matter how much I brush and condition it's like this ..
I paid £320
I'm so disappointed

Are they real hair?

Apparently so yes..I'm starting to think not

I am not really sure what hair extensions are supposed to look like (natural hair, presumably?)

But if I'm honest, they look a bit clumpy and unnaturally blunt on the ends. And a bit uneven. Sorry! It might just be a bad picture.

I'm not a hairdresser but I can see that's not good. They don't blend with your natural hair and a straggly and uneven.They colour match is awful. How do you know they hair is real? Do you just have to take their word for it? If it feels synthetic, it's likely it is. Maybe contact trading standards if they won't remove free of charge and refund? I'm not sure I'd let them 'rectify' the problem any other way. Did you not complain at the salon at the time?

Did you go back and ask for them to be fixed then? If that is what they have done as a fix then that is not on. I'm not sure what to suggest other than complaining again

£320 is a massive amount of money to pay for something which your'e so disappointed with (on top of the money you've already paid at the last place - unless they refunded you).
As suggested by another BooMoo I would suggest you go to trading standards and then possibly small claims court to try to get your money back if they dont fix to your satisfaction.
How does your hair look without the extensions? Is it worth all the hassle?

They aren't even the same length...
When I went back in ..she took a few out then re added a few more ..I'm quite shy and felt quite intimidated.
My natural hair was so much better ..stupidly they thinned it out and re added extensions for thickness.
Il leave conditioner on longer and hope for the best.
They take 5 hours to dry too but when they dry they dry straggly ..if that makes sense

I think if you pluck out a strand, hold it over a hot light bulb, if it breaks, it's synthetic. I am not sure though!

How are they attached?
Do you have one of the special hair extension brushes? And are you using any product on them?
When I've had extensions before the right hairbrush makes a big difference, you can get one that has almost little loops instead of bristles, and that stops the hair from being pulled as it's brushed. And using the right product on them should stop them from looking dry you basically need a leave in conditioner that's suitable for extensions.

They are mini rings.
I bought the shampoo and conditioner from the hairdressers and I use a tangle teaser.
I've bought a leave in conditioner and some oil but nothing seems to be helping at the minute.

Did you go back to the same hairdresser?

Tbh it's not going to be shiny like natural hair ,is it? Extensions are a lot of up keep.

Do you blow dry them or air dry? Blow drying might help them blend better, but other than that I'm not sure! Hope you get it sorted!

I have known a fair amount of people trying hair extensions, from the cheap to the very ,very expensive . None of them have ever really looked great or been successful in the long run. Grow your own hair. It's a lot easier and cheaper. Sorry you've spent so much money though 💐

I agree with you, you only have to see all the BB contestants go in the house looking all sleek and gorgeous and they wake up the following day looking anything but.

Unless you have hairdresser on hand daily, which remember most celebs with extensions will have ,I think you will disappointed.

I'd want them removed and my own hair cut by a good hairdresser as quickly as possible. But obviously that would cost more money - if money well spent. Do others who know about this area - eg hairdressers or TSOs -think there is any chance that the OP could get Trading Standards to retrieve any of the money she spent with these rip-off merchants?

I'm not sure they are rip off merchants, I think that's what they look like when you do them yourself.

Are they able to blend your own hair better in with them and so they ends so that they don't look so blunt? The extensions seems curly whereas your own hair doesn't

How old are you if you don't mind my asking? If you feel shy could you take a friend with you to bolster your confidence? You definitely shouldn't let it drop. I'd insist on a refund, free removal and the I'd go elsewhere, get it cut into a shorter style (a wavy bob) and grow it yourself. Extensions rarely look good and keeping them looking halfway decent is a nightmare (cousin has them).

Potatobread I wouldn't let them anywhere near them (except to remove free of charge and refund in full). Yes, give a chance to rectify if you feel they've done a decent haircut but not what you asked for, but that's a botch-job (sorry, OP).

I've had extensions for many years and the girl previous who did my hair well she did them amazing but she had a baby and quit ..you can do them lovely yourself if it's decent hair ..
