Best opaques that don't cost the earth

I have been spoiled by Falke as their 100den come in multiple sizes, cover everything, and never fall down.
But they are beyond pricey (I could get shoes or a t-shirt for that price). EBay has a few colours regularly (purple, dark charcoal, and a brown called Brenda!). I have managed to get one black pair on there.
Any others that come close? I think I tried M&S and they aren't as thick plus they don't quite fit (not as many sizes). Boden are rubbish. So basically is any other brand... Any thoughts?

I'd love tights with reinforced feet - I used to be able to find them easily but haven't for years. Where are they hiding? I get holes in the toes and heels all the time. Spend a fortune on tights. Otherwise my best tip is buy a size up and pull em up to your nips. :D

Spanx Star Power are the best tights I've ever tried! I like to walk and move a lot during the day and they are literally the only ones - including Falke - that truly stay in place. You need to be absolutely honest with yourself and buy the correct size on the chart, though.

They do come up almost to my bra, but that is the thing that prevents that awful roll and slippage that you get with some tights.

Primark seems to be a winner. Do they do maternity tights. I need to stock up. Thanks.

Evans - £6 a pair but they come in 3 sizes for us ladies with fat arses. They don't ride down or get wedged plenty of room to hoik them up too. I don't feel Like I'm wearing tights at all with them.

Also M&S for good knitted ones.

Another vote for M&S Autograph VElvet touch ones - I have had some last me a couple of years! I stock up whenever i'm in the UK, 10 quid a pair and cheaps cost per wear. They are comfy, look good, warm and don't fall down (even better if I'm all tucked in too!) - oh, and they wash well and don't bobble, either!

Most have come from M&S as they have remained high quality and good value when everything else at M&S as crumbled.
I've had some M&S tights for 20 years. I think they are called 'silk touch' and may be the predecessors to Velvet touch. Truly amazing and I know they are that old because I was pregnant with DS1 when i got them.
2 pairs of falke for special occasions.
Being tall M&S large are my go to, autograph 7d run resist.
Otherwise Sainsbury's opaques and a pair of primark woolly tights about to start their 3rd season.

I plan to make a special trip to Primark on the back of this thread to buy tights, so hoping they live up to the hype! [Smile] or else I'll be back to have words...

There used to be a Wolfords retail store in the Biscester Shopping Village. Have managed to buy a couple of pairs from there. They do feel so much better to wear!

Another vote for primark from DD who wear tights every day
