Will I regret this expensive purchase?!

I LOVE this jigsaw cardigan. I have birthday money that would pay for half of it. It's so much for one cardigan though (for me anyway, appreciate others might have bigger clothes budgets).

I'm sure I would get lots of wear out of it. I could also probably get a cheap weekend away for less....

Dakota I only saw the grey on the rail. It was a Jigsaw concession in Fenwicks so not all stock displayed unfortunately.

Yes, treat yourself, you'll feel a million dollars in that.
It's stylish and timeless, and because of the quality, you'll get years out of it!

That is lovely. I have navy cotton cardigan i bought in a Jigsaw sale and i wear it constantly. It washes like a dream. I really like that one as it looks cosy for autumn.

It is gorgeous! Not a bad price, though not what I would pay, considering the yarn it is made from. If you already have birthday money to pay for half of it, then really YOU are only paying half price for it, so it's really on sale at that point Wink

It looks stylish and timeless. My mum used to say that it was worth it if you wore it.

Buy it. You will regret it if you don't. Life is short and so you should have the cardi if you can afford it.

Pugslugs, your poncho in grey is spot on!

The grey is available on John Lewis, whoevers suggestion that was (great tip by the way!). Unfortunately, the navy isn't or I would be TOTALLY on that!

I wonder if you have to be slim mer than me to wear this though?

Thank you Dakota. DH and I are going to Amsterdam in Nov and I didn't really want to wear a coat during the day to sightsee so I thought a poncho would be idea and I could wear a couple of layers underneath.

Mrsmaud have you only seen the cardigan online? You must get it, it is even more gorgeous in real life.

If you're extremely small or more Rubenesque, you could wait until the sales? In between sizes usually sell out more quickly.

All my impulse buys have been my favourite staples in my wardrobe. If you know you'll get lots of wear out of it, say, for even 3 years, then it's worth it.

It's a lovely, timeless piece. Go get it!

Perfect Pugalugs

Mumsnet has a terrible habit of making me spend money I don't have on clothes. The whole Jigsaw website makes me NEED to win the lottery!

You definitely won't regret that, it's lovely.

REALLY don't want to rain on your parade, OP, but something in that style looks very different if you have the slightest hint of a chest. Crossover drapings can all too easily create a 'curtain over a shelf' effect.

If you're the same shape as the model, then absolutely fine and good luck to you. But even so, it's a lot of money for something IF it's not top quality The garment in question may be; I don't know and I certainly don't wish to criticise.

FWIW, I recently purchased something similar in merino wool for £9.99 in a charity shop just by sizing up two or three regular sizes. Have you considered that???

Lovely!

I have something similar in a beigey/cream. Wear it all the time. Don't know brand but it is very good quality only cost me £7 from the chazza.... Blush

I would be tempted to wait and see if it goes in the sale if you think it's too much money. Or.... you could set up an alert on eBay. Things always come up if you are prepared to wait.

I tried it on recently but I'm too busty for it and it didn't look great in me but it's lovely and jigsaw is mostly pretty good quality.

You always have the option of returning it online if it doesn't suit your body shape.

If you're buying it from the shop, you'll know if it suits you after trying it on.

Wow! Such a positive response. Feck it, I'm buying it. It keeps selling out so I think if I wait it might go....

We are casual at work so I'd wear it for work quite a bit.
