I'm after a proper old fashioned denim mini (not too mini though!) skirt, straight not A-line and no buttons. I realise that this is far from being 'in' but I like them.

I also want some really lovely big scarves - ideally a burnt orange one, a bright pink one and a red one.

Also, a pleated red skirt and the perfect grey v neck jumper.

You?

i've found my style, i just can't find the clothes at the right price.

A million times this! I know exactly what I want but can I find it? Can I hell.

doctorboo · 05/09/2016 20:12

Flois I think it's alright . Wouldn't have people stopping and pointing at you.
It looks 100x better than my winter coat that's for sure. Only thing I wouldn't be happy with is that it's only showerproof.

My MIL always talks about how 'quirky' my dress sense is. I seem to just chuck things together - even if I don't mean to. Confused Blush

NeonPinkNails · 05/09/2016 20:54

Going back to the 90s thing, I saw a pic the other day of some new season clothes and the model was wearing a dark floral patterned slip dress over a skinny t-shirt - it made me smile because I lived in that outfit in the 90s! Did anyone else used to buy satin nighties and wear them as dresses or was that just me Blush?

EnidButton · 05/09/2016 21:17

Yes Neon and asymmetrical sleeved dresses.

Floisme · 05/09/2016 22:10

Thanks doctor. I will confess, 'alright' isn't quite the answer I had been hoping for but I'm sure it's the right one Grin

I may get it anyway cos I'm getting bored with the whole thing now.

DamnGood314 · 05/09/2016 22:44

I know what you mean

I could buy this, and I like it but it'd be like admitting I can't find what I'm looking for I'd prefer 70s style lapels

Floisme · 06/09/2016 06:57

Oooh that's nice, i like the other one too.

Problem is, my heart just isn't in this. I just want something that will keep me reasonably dry and warm, not make me look like a hobbit and cost as little as possible.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/09/2016 18:36

Love that, Damn.

Which one? the military one or the sort of max mara-y one. I like them both. The military one wouldn't be very warm.

Mango have great coats this year!

Cellardoor23 · 06/09/2016 19:08

remus are you still looking for a deep red/burgundy top? I saw this when I was having a browse at their website.

www.jigsaw-online.com/product/silk-blend-v-neck-jumper/J17488_PU012

Although it's hand wash only.

EnidButton · 06/09/2016 19:12

Shame that's only in large. Sad

Cellardoor23 · 06/09/2016 19:17

I know I just realised that afterwards. I liked it too.

Floisme · 06/09/2016 19:27

If it makes you feel any better, I think I've tried that Jigsaw top on and it was a ridiculously deep V neck. I'd have needed a vest thing underneath which would have looked odd as the top's quite fitted.

EnidButton · 06/09/2016 19:33

Ah that'd be no good then. I've had that problem a lot with dresses and tops.

EnidButton · 06/09/2016 19:34

I do love that colour though. I was hoping the Hush ruched skirt was that shade but according to the other thread it's more a browny dull burgundy.

Cellardoor23 · 06/09/2016 19:39

That's a shame. I did buy a double front scoop neck from them which is quite good. And they have one in deep red as well.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/09/2016 19:40

Thanks, Cellar. It's lovely (and I don't mind deep v necks, because I generally wear a cami underneath anyway), but life is far too short for hand washing.

I like that first mango coat.

DamnGood314 · 06/09/2016 20:49

Yeh, it looks way more expensive than it is.

I know M&S got a pasting on s&b the other day but I also like this coat.

I like this

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/09/2016 21:29

That green M&S one is gorgeous irl. I was fondling it the other day!

DamnGood314 · 06/09/2016 21:33

They do some nice coats I think. They can't help it if a lot of people want to spend their life dressing to walk the dog that already had its walk today.

i bought a beautiful coat in m&s last year. It was long, forest green, belted. 70% and 10% of it cashmere. It gets loads of compliments.

I'm hoping m&s get more coats in in October.
I'm buying nothing but a coat and boots this season. honest

Seriously tempted by that levi's single breasted coat though. Just can't figure out whether to get the small or the medium. I'll have to go in to Levi's in Dublin and try them both on. It feels like real money when you buy something in a shop

DamnGood314 · 06/09/2016 21:34

joking about the dogs. I love dogs. I approve of walking dogs. I dressed like I was about to work out all day today. Not judging nobody. Wouldn't dare!

Floisme · 06/09/2016 22:19

I missed the M&S pasting and I'd have gone on to defend them if I'd known. l've seen quite a few nice things on their website recently and my local branch has upped its game and started stocking more Autograph - maybe they heard me moaning.
