I'm after a proper old fashioned denim mini (not too mini though!) skirt, straight not A-line and no buttons. I realise that this is far from being 'in' but I like them.

I also want some really lovely big scarves - ideally a burnt orange one, a bright pink one and a red one.

Also, a pleated red skirt and the perfect grey v neck jumper.

You?

I want a classic beige v neck sweater.

  • Thin weight (i.e. not chunky)
  • No weird side splits or dipped hems or shape-age
  • Not cashmere (but would spend up to £100 so I guess cheap cashmere might make the grade)
  • Must be v neck due to large norks

Can I find it.... (No, obvs).

SimplyNigella · 01/09/2016 13:19

MrsSean have you looked at Banana Republic? They have cashmere mix jumpers on offer for £30ish, I've just ordered a v neck in emerald green but I'm sure they have beige too.

MrsSeanBeanIsAtWork · 01/09/2016 13:22

No I haven't Nigella - thanks for the tip.

Underparmummy · 01/09/2016 14:32

Black jeans
Ankle boots - black I guess
Tweed blazer with elbow patches
Thin soft slim cut jumpers - hundreds of them!
Underwear - bra selection at the moment embarrassing and I just had to buy some pants from Tesco as I am behind with the washing and haven't got any clean for tomorrow.

doctorboo Yes!! I was in mulberry today and I was debating whether to go for the oak or the blood red. I think I'm going to stick to the oak but they've gone up in price now. £850! Think I might just stick to finer things Aberdeen. There's one on there I'm going to get ready at checkout for £699 brand new. Does anyone have a coupon code? Thought I would try my luck! Lol

Cellardoor23 · 01/09/2016 16:09

Apologies if that post is hard to read. I just got a bit excited!

Nearlyadoctor · 01/09/2016 18:16

MrsSean would this be any good?

cellar it is lovely in Oak!
I just popped over to FTA site and think you should click 'buy' - quickly!

Frannyboo90 · 01/09/2016 18:43

Some nice chunky heel ankle boots, a lbd and if I win the lottery a Karen Millen leather jacket, I always try one on when I go to Trafford, the leather feels like butter Blush

Cellardoor23 · 01/09/2016 19:09

doctorboo I've bought it! Like I said I had the intention of buying it in mulberry today but they appear to have gone up in price over night. They were originally £795. Not really sure why that is. But anyway I've got my bag that's the main thing!

EnidButton · 01/09/2016 20:20

Congratulations Nearly Grin

EnidButton · 01/09/2016 20:20

Oops sorry! Meant Cellar

Bit of M&S love: I know... I know... and the model does this no favours at all but hear me out. It hangs beautifully and, unlike a lot of slouchy jumpers, isn't too long on me. Nice deep V neck and a lovely olive green. To wear with narrow leg trousers.

And I'm in love with this skirt although it may disappoint in real life.

Wish they did that jumper in grey. It's just what I've been looking for.

My autumn list:
cable tights from next
cord skirt
merino/cashmere jumpers
black ankle boots

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/09/2016 16:01

I really like cable knit tights but never really know how to wear them.

I got my mulberry bag Grin I didn't think I would get it until next week. Very happy with my purchase.

DamnGood314 · 03/09/2016 17:11

beware, horrible 90s trousers are coming towards us fast.

I was looking for work trousers for an interview yesterday and I went in to every shop, you name it, and all the work trousers were those great big voluminous ''Spotlight'' style trousers. Very 90s.

I was askig the shop assistants for tapered slim legged work trousers and they said ''sorry, :-/ we don't have them, we have these'' I'm not ready for such straight leg trousers yet!

I finally got a lovely pair in zara though.

EnidButton · 03/09/2016 17:54

There's a lot of 90's stuff out there atm. I can't bring myself to buy or even try any of it. Once was enough thank you.

MumboNumber5 · 03/09/2016 18:11

cellar soooo exciting!
remus I wear mine with denim minis (next had loads last year that washed really well, but can't find them this year)

DamnGood314 · 03/09/2016 18:15

I hope it's a short-lived trend. One season of 90s. I hope we're not stuck with wide legged trousers that make me look like a midget for the next decade.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/09/2016 18:15

Mumbo - that's the only way I ever wear them!

Tollygunge · 03/09/2016 18:18

I want a really lovely mustard cardigan, not round necked. Also a really bright green cardigan made of a viscose type material. Anyone can help?

ccgirr · 03/09/2016 18:35

I soo love this thread I was having a crisis about moving back to uk and needing warm clothes. I adore the green leather jacket at next and tapestry mini at top shop. Boot thing scares me. I have flat black and high leather both calf are they totally out now? I do have wedge brown otk too. So skinny trousers jeans out and straight 90s in?!

Floisme · 03/09/2016 19:22

What did we wear in the 90s? It's a complete blank.
