Best eye cream for dark circles...

I'm looking very tired and I'm a fair redhead so dark circles look terrible! Any recs? (Rather not use concealer they all crease no matter which one so want to treat it rather than conceal it)

I don't know, but marking my place because I have exactly the same problem, also very fair and no amount of sleep seems to cure those dark circles!

Sorry, I have never found anything that helps, and I have tried!
More sleep and a slight tan make a tiny difference, other than that it's finding the best concealer.

There is no eye cream that treats dark circles. You just have them. Especially if you have pale skin, the skin under your eye is very very thin and if you have a good look all the blood vessels and capillaries are visible and purple under your eye making dark circles.

It's just how you are made and nothing to do with lack of sleep or lack of hydration or any of the other stuff that gets touted about.

Either learn to love them or find a concealer you like - I bloody love Benefit Erase Paste - but most of the time I don't wear makeup and ignore them.

Yup no eye cream works at all. For me it's actually hollow tear troughs that I always thought were dark circles. So as you can imagine no cream is going to make my tear troughs less hollow and get rid of the darkness!
I'm considering fillers to fill the troughs but very scared!

Mine are dreadful. I have been asked before about how I got my black eye! Sallow skin tone and deep black troughs under my eyes. Attractive!

Have to agree with previous posters.... I've tried many many creams including one that cost 75 quid for about 20ml that was suppose to be the holy grail and they just don't work. I have one worse than the other due to sun damage so I really do look like I've got a black eye. Concealer is the only way forward I'm afraid.

It'll have to be a good concealer as I learnt from experience I've tried loads of expensive ones and I now have a really cheap collection 2000 concealer that just worked for me

Again, I've probably spent thousands on creams and they have given me nothing more than beautifully moisturised dark circles.

The Collection 2000 concealer is great, really well pigmented and cheap but after about 35, you'll need something with a bit more light around your eyes, Clarins is good.

I went with injected filler, I now wake up looking like I've grabbed a bit of sleep and it was cheaper than the fancy creams.

There's nowt that'll do anything. Nada. Zilch. Zero. Zip. I suppose I'm gently saying there's damn all you can do.
Fillers if you want.

Or, years or effort and research and much wonga spent has led me to this handy little corrector that has SPF in it to help prevent further damage, brightens the eye area and moisturises all in one. You're welcome.

Dark circles are blood vessels near thin skin. No farty cream in expensive packaging with a French name and loads of babble will do anything. The beauty ' industry' is all lies.

Paint beige or ignore .

I too have dark circles, also bags and lines (and 20mo dc3 who wakes me frequently ). I've actually found no.7 under eye concealer not bad (in the click tube similar to touch eclat). But for me the trick is to just do one swipe under each eye then blend, so only aiming for looking a little better. If i kept going the way beauty counter assistants have gone with samples, I just look crepey and even worse!

Agree daisy, it's a fine line between covering and caking it on. Too little is no good, too much can sit in lines and is, em, Not Good.

I also use benefit erase paste. It's the only concealer I've tried that covers my purple under eyes and doesn't sink into my laughter lines (of which there are many)

The only things that help my dark circles are:
Drinking loads of water-2.5 litres per day
Drinking green tea- 3 cups per day
These things will help your complexion in other ways too.
Environ Qcuence eye cream is the best I've ever tried. Doesn't help with dark circles as such but tightens, moisturises and lifts the under eye area so improves the general appearance.
Also Benefit's Boing is amazing and touché eclat works for me.
I also put used green tea bags on my eyes for 10 minutes when I get chance and that makes them look refreshed.

I'm currently using Max Factor Mastertouch concealer, I've spent £££ on concealers as well as creams but keep going back to this one. Also agree less is more.

I used to think it was just skin tone/sleep deprivation but after a lovely Decleor facial mine looked so much better. Lighter, less crinkled. But a week later I am back to slapping on the Mac prolongwear concealer nw15 I think, but lighter than I need but it's v v good.

Kiko do a yellow cream which works well under make up a bit like the green stuff you get for redness. It's much less heavy than concealer and you can put concealer on top.

Yellow. You need something yellow like benefit lemonaid or max factor colour corrector stick; Benefit is too thick for me and settles into my fine lines so I prefer the max factor one. I do put a bit of BB cream or foundation over the top to blend things in.

Touch éclat and anything else beige stopped doing the trick for me as I've got older (old gimmer of 38).

There's some good advice from loulou above on minimising them, but they'll never go entirely, sorry!

I have them too, the only creams that have ever made s difference are Clinique All About Eyes and No.7 Protect and Perfect Eye Cream.
As for concealing, the Collection one is very good, but I also use a Bobbi Brown serum concealer which is amazing.

Don't waste money on creams they don't work. Drink lots of water, sleep as much as you can, bio oil overnight, concealer in day.

Wise words - but bio oil has never been shown to do anything either!

Isn't haemarrhoid cream meant to help?

Not for dark circles, no.

And bio-oil has never been shown to do anything for anything at all - they are very careful in their advertising not to make any clinical claims.

Concealer is the only way I'm afraid.

The only time my dark circles have ever disappeared was after I had a 4 pint blood transfusion and goodness knows how many litres if IV fluids. They just vanished. But did come back.

Make sure you drink plenty and your iron levels are good. Mine are worse if I'm a bit anaemic.
