Hunter wellies, do they fit big calves?

I'm a slim and fit person but my calves are always causing me issues because they're big!

I adore Hunter Wellies and would love a pair (actually need them too), in Green.

I just don't know what to do because the ones I tried on are far too small! They won't go round my calves Blush

Any help?

Dont buy any,they are now rubbish and badly made.
The last ones i bought leaked straight away.
They used to be good, but dont bother now.
Try Aigle or le chameau, for quality WELLINGTONS

You can get wider calf hunters, I think they are called huntress.

I've never found hunter wellies to go round my ridiculously large and out of proportion calves. I go for ankle wellies now.

Hipp,they were fantastic, i had the same pair for years. Then i bought one pair,they lasted a year and then another which were two months. They are manufactured abroad now and not worth the money.

Agree with Mad - sadly my Hunters were a pile of leaky shit. But I do adore my Aigles.

Yep, last pair of Hunters I bought leaked. Useless.

I have Le Chameaus now. Felt a bit faint at the price of them, but oh my God they're comfy. I live in them in winter.

Yes, my last pair of hunters were utter shite. I bought a pair of Le Chameaus last winter and they're brilliant, I got the neoprene lined ones as I'm always freezing and they keep my feet lovely and toasty. Plus I can walk miles in them. I think they do wider calf fittings although mine aren't I don't think.

Another vote for Aigle wellies. Hunters overpriced and poor quality in my opinion.

And I too have very wide calves. Used to go to Duo for ordinary boots until they ridiculously rebranded themselves as Ted & Muffy - now live in short boots.

They are too slim for my calves. My daughter got some free ones from her previous employer when they were slightly defective and I couldn't wear them. Sad

I live in the country and here people live in country boots or wellies. The only hunters I see are v v old ones. Aigles all the way now.

I understand Aigle and Le Chameau are the way to go. Unfortunately they are too small for me though. I want, want, want a knee length (I am 6ft so 36cm is far too short) pair of plain wellies to fit a 45cm calf - and no inside clips to come undone as you walk. I have been looking for years......

The only ones that fit my wide calves are the Balmorals (they're possibly men's?) and I've never seen these on offer anywhere, unlike the Norris which you can get almost anywhere (sometimes tkmaxx have them really cheap). They perished and split on the foot creases after about a year and a half.

I'm so disappointed as I had always wanted a pair of hunters and after finally building up the courage to spend so much in a pair of wellingtons they turned out to be crap. I will not be buying another pair!

No. I had a pair of Hunters and they were really tight and not well made. If you're spending £££ on them, Le Chameau are better. I love mine.

Phew I thought it was just me who had especially wide calves.

I much prefer my aigle to hunter wellies any day.

I have Hunter wellies and I think they measure 15 inches around but they were too tight for me so I then bought the wide fit ones which were fine. I hardly wear them tbh, only at festivals once a year, so I can't really talk about their quality, they were fine at keeping my feet dry.

Never had a pair of Hunters fit my calves. I have 2 pairs of Jileon wellies and they are great! I wear them a lot, usually to the beach or walking through woodland and they've held up really well.

I specifically got hunters as I have skinny calves. Fit me great, if yours are bigger it seems unlikely
