Please help me accessorize this wedding guest outfit.

I've bought this dress for a wedding this summer. Need some sort of coverage in case it's chilly, but what?

Fluffy shrug, satin bolero, linen jacket? I can't wear pashminas - instead of elegant draping, I look like a homeless person huddled in a blanket.

And what colour - black, navy, silver, gold or something bright?

Aiming for mildly edgy look
even though am middle class mum so is a linen jacket too Country Casuals?

I'm a size 10 and budget about £40 -£50.

In terms of accessories I have a big rose-gold & leather cuff and hoping to wear silver shoes ( if you think silver works with this dress colour).

Not great at accessorising but love the dress!
With the rose gold you'll have to make sure it doesn't clash though

I think the blue would work as it has a slate tone, especially as you're thinking of silver shoes.

The shrug is a bit meh...

Love the dress. I think the jacket would drown out the structure of the dress, I think you need something that ends at the waist, so am voting for the cardigan. Statement necklace and a box clutch bag would look fab with it.

I agree that you need something that ends at the waist, but I think something as everyday as a cardigan would spoil the drama of the dress, if you see what I mean? I think you need a boxy jacket, something very simple with clean lines, and elbow or bracelet length sleeves.

Statement necklace, boxy clutch, shoes in a different but tonal colour.

No shrugs or stoles, that dress is minimalist and modern (and amazing!!)

Love love love the dress. No suggestions for accessories I'm afraid, aside from please don't ruin it with a cardigan or shrug! I'd probably do silver/grey/pewter heels and bag, something simple so all the emphasis is on that bloody gorgeous dress.

I agree that you should avoid shrugs or cardigans - these will bring a casual element to the dress.

I suggest a fitted jacket that sits just above the waist. Unsure about the colour though.

A good pal wore the black version of this at a wedding last weekend, so I've seen it in real life.
Lovely shape. Definitely edgy.
But with the volumous skirt I'd suggest you need a short and slim fitting jacket. Otherwise you could look quite bulky/shapeless.
No specific items to suggest.

If a jacket is needed I can nudge the budget up as I'll wear it more (to work possibly; or with trousers) than I would a very weddingy fluffy bolero, say.

Will probably wear my silver heels as I can actually dance in them all night rather than change to flats - love the tangerine strappy shoes posted above but can only manage about an hour in heels that high.

Love the dress. I think you need something fitted and slightly cropped. No to a furry shrug thing in summer though.

I think you should definitely try the lace one, fairy - and the earring that she's wearing with it too. :)

Think it really needs to be short cropped, anything eating into the waistline will kill the look of the dress so in that sense the Coast knitted and the ASOS crop blazer are fine. I actually quite like the sheer back of the Coast cardi. The Natural version would work well too.

Not sure about the green-grey lace, don't find it too edgy. Also maybe a bit long.

The last family wedding I went to I was 9 months and 3 days pregnant and look like a whale in all the pics (DD totally worth it) so I really want to look nice at this one.

Just to update, I bought and returned a couple of lace and linen jackets and then found a cropped cotton jacket in the Jigsaw sale for £29 down from from £59 in dark blue (Atlantic, not navy) and it works really well.
