I'm trying to help my Mum find a nice dress for my sisters wedding. She found a lovely one after searching for ages but it's sold out and isn't being restocked Sad

She's 55, a size 24, and wants a maxi dress with some sort of sleeve. Preferably to the elbow or just slightly above. Needs to tie in with the colour scheme somehow, which is blue and silver (I think any kind of blue will do as the original dress she found was navy and white).

Can anyone help? I've tried ASOS, Littlewoods and Dorothy Perkins but nothing is suitable. She usually shops at Marisota and other similar places so I thought you lot might know some shops we've not thought of Smile

Or this^^ sequinned one?

I like this but it seems ridiculously cheap... Bit too plain?

Wow thanks for the quick replies!

Polka dot isn't dressy enough apparently. I already showed her the ASOS lace sleeve one which is gorgeous but sleeves are too short! She's already seen the red lace and doesn't like it Sad Sequin one also gorgeous but too expensive.

Sorry forgot to put budget in my original post. Under £70 would be brilliant but I think she could possibly go to £100.

Lady I like that but she hates those dresses. She reckons it looks like you've got your dress tucked in your knickers by accident Grin

Haha I see what she means! I still like them though.

ForeverDolphinLove · 31/05/2016 21:20

Won't wear grey as it washes her out. This is so bloody difficult! Thank you so much for helping me though.

Lol @ knickers in dress!

LadyPenelope68 · 31/05/2016 21:23

Shane there's no blue in that last one as its lovely. Grey looks like a nightie to me 😜

LadyAntonella · 31/05/2016 21:25

Oh sorry - just read, too expensive!

ForeverDolphinLove · 31/05/2016 21:25

I love the HofF one but yes too expensive. Have sent it her anyway!

Very nice but need sleeves Sad I've seen loads of beautiful ones without sleeves! Sorry for being so difficult.

That last brighter blue one is promising!

MrsLettuce · 31/05/2016 21:29

this? I think it'd work really well with the blue and scheme.

LadyAntonella · 31/05/2016 21:30

Yes, that brighter blue one is really nice.

ForeverDolphinLove · 31/05/2016 21:33

Lettuce that one is nice too. I'm awaiting a reply about the last few. Not sure if she's against a full length sleeve as it will be in August so may be too hot.
