Which jeans for size 14-16?

Hi! Can anyone recommend some flattering jeans? I'm 5ft 6, 36f boobs which make me look bigger than I am Confused and a bit of a tummy. Any jeans, whatever style, look terrible in my opinion. I'm 14-16 and 41 tomorrow! Wine

I'm a 14, hourglass shape and usually struggle with jeans as I get a massive gap round the back of the waist.

I've recently bought these from M&S and they are amazing www.marksandspencer.com/naturally-soft-denim-jeggings/p/p22465451?prevPage=plp

Very comfortable, high waisted and holds my (very wobbly) stomach in, and the most important thing is they don't go baggy after a couple of hours wear. They keep their shape even if you've worn them a couple of days. Would highly recommend!

I've ordered some of those Boden ones with the zips on the ankles. They're currently reduced from £49.95 to £34.95, and I had a £10 voucher code, and a code for free delivery and returns Smile

I think the high waist enhancer ones from Next are better than the lift, slim and shape ones.

Topshop high waisted skinnies are the business.
I gave away my Next and M&S jeggings as they slid down over my mum tum.

Thanks for the tip bretontop just off to order another pair for when these collapse and give out on me!

Oh and if when you wear them, do not sit with 1 leg under your other on a chair... zips digging into ankles is not a pleasant experience Wink

Boden size 14 jeans arrived today. Feel very soft and comfy, and generous size-wise (I could barely get into the Sainsbury's ones yesterday!).

I'm not sure they look good on me though? I was expecting a tighter fit on the legs. What do you think?

I bought some Next Slim&Lift straight leg (I think slim fit) in the paler denim (I have the dark indigo bootcut but I wanted a lighter pair to wear with sandles)

I need a belt with them even though I have way too much middle, so don't think they'd suit an hourglass.

I did look at the high waist enhancer but they didn't have the faded ones.

breton give them a wash and they will be fine Wink, or if they are a bit big on the waist try a size down.

Budd they gave me a really bad builders bum, and were really baggy on the legs, so they're packaged up ready to go back. Suppose I could try the size 12, but can almost guarantee they won't fit my big belly ^sigh
^
Sainsbury's were no good either, so hoping to pop to my Outlet soon to try Gap and Levi.

Breton I've read the reviews and it seems the different coloured options are all various materials. I have the dark indigo ones and they seem to be one of the better types.

I don't get on with sainsbury's jeans either, I find the are ok until you wash them then they go misshapen. Try the levi curve type ones? I got a straight leg pair in costco last year for £35 and love them.

I'm a similar age / size to you and have had some success in the past with Monsoon. Worth a look.

I have always found the Per Una Roma fit jeans good, they are nice and high round the waist, also Next slim leg, GAP straight leg and Boden straight leg.

I have about four pairs of m.oasis-stores.com/rinse-wash-cara-legging/fashion-denim/oasis/fcp-product/5538392?lng=&ctry=GB

I wear the black ones to work and the blue jeans ones in them weekend. Comfortable, practical and flattering.

I'm going to say sainsburys too, I'm currently in some of their skinny jeans and they fit perfectly, In fact I'm going back today to get some in another colour (I got some grey ones)

I'm a size 16 and recently got these white jeans from Joules which I love. Had previously tried on loads of pairs from elsewhere but these are not see-through and hold me in really well.

I also wear the Levis demi curve and Gap ankle grazers and sometimes Next if I just want a cheaper pair.

I'm almost exactly the same age as you, but a size 20 - just gone up from an 18 as I found when I went shopping the other day Sad.

Next for jeans, definitely.

Brent

Good choice sending those jeans back. I think you could do with some that are slimmer in the leg to avoid baggy knees etc and possible higher on the waist and longer in the leg.

Are any of these recommendations good for those cursed with chunky thighs and rugby players knees?

TheLittleFoxes I am cursed with big old thighs and am large of knee and look alright in the ones I have recommended.

I am a big fan of Sainsbury's jeans. I am 5ft 2in, size 14/16, 36F and go for size 14 straight leg. Skinny jeans always make my legs look like sausages jammed in the skins. Also have some turn up ones from there that I am wearing now and look lovely with sandal/flip flops in the summer.
