You and nearly everybody else on here, by the sound of it! I haven't succumbed to them, but I have v narrow feet (most of them ARE bloody ugly too, to be frank, but I might have been tempted by a less offensive pair, if they weren't far too wide). Grin

I get what you mean. My body is not built for fashion. I'm a sort of old fashioned v hourglass shape and all boobs
I can't wear high necks or polo necks, or anything that sort of that drapey "I just threw some fabric around me" style
Can't do anything that a bra won't fit under either

Judydreamsofhorses · 15/05/2016 20:16

I really like that dress, and have a number of pinafores which I wear with blouses underneath, or stripy tops. I'm 43.

Judydreamsofhorses · 15/05/2016 20:17

Oh, and I always wear flat shoes - usually Chelsea boots or brogues in winter.

PhylumChordata · 15/05/2016 20:23

I love that dress. Good length

Libitina · 15/05/2016 20:41

OP, so you don't like the phrases frumpy or mumsy, but then use the phrase "v teenage"? Isn't that reverse discrimination?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/05/2016 20:46

If you say so.

Another narrow footed one here! Love that dress, would wear a denim jacket with it, and probably trainers.

That's a shame re the fabric. Anyway, will go and check it out as I do love the print. If it's no good, I'll go back to the drawing board yet again!

I liked the look of this too, but couldn't see it in store when I looked last week.

Pretty sure grazia have 25% off warehouse this week. (Saw it on here not in the magazine)

DinosaursRoar · 15/05/2016 21:38

I like the warehouse dress, even with the pockets, although I think it might be a tad too long on my short frame. I am sick of all the thin straps about, I need to be able to wear a substaintial bra these days.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/05/2016 21:41

Yes to a substantial bra! :)

The Boden one looks v Orla K. I love yellow but can only really wear it in skirt-form.

OP posts:
penguinplease · 15/05/2016 21:56

I have the oasis one! Also got the skirt, it's lovely but if you are large of boob you may need to go up a size

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/05/2016 22:04

Thanks, Penguin.

Floisme · 15/05/2016 22:12

Prints aren't normally my thing but Oasis have some really nice ones.

BabyGanoush · 15/05/2016 22:18

I like the dress a lot!

Will you report back how it hangs on you? Smile

NarpIsNotACunt · 16/05/2016 06:33

I seem to have started a discussion

I rarely come on S&B so I can say that it's the first time the f word has passed my lips on here

I like the Oasis one and might suit the bigger of boob amongst us

But maybe a bit short?

NarpIsNotACunt · 16/05/2016 06:38

And knowing Oasis, it isn't cotton

Murder if you are having hot flushes (me)

Floisme · 16/05/2016 07:08

Please don't run away, it's a good discussion. I think it's a shame we don't have it more often.

I know what you mean about growing boobs. Bizarre experience.

I don't wear above the knee any more but if the model's 6' as they often are, the Oasis dress wouldn't be that short on a lot of people.

Its 97% cotton but .... lining is polyester. Cheers for that, Oasis.

NarpIsNotACunt · 16/05/2016 08:03

Flo

Thanks.

The boob thing is hard to adjust to

I have always seen myself as small-breasted, but they have slowly increased in size, which is not unwelcome, except that clothes do look different and I've had to adjust accordingly.

I only realised I was a D cup, not a B as I thought when I tried on a bra in M&S which was on the wrong hanger!

Floisme · 16/05/2016 08:13

Same here, Narp. I'd been flat chested all my life - and happy with it - till the menopause.

I didn't even notice it was happening at first. All I knew was that none of my clothes looked right any more. It took a very good friend to point it out. I was wearing a 32B and Bravissimo put me in 28F Grin

I had to completely relearn how to dress. And I'm sure my body hasn't stopped changing so there'll be more to come
