Am after inspiration!

Would like:
-Flat or slight heel (prefer flat)
-Comfortable slightly padded sole ( so many sandals have solid hard thin sole which I find v uncomfortable)
-not grannyish

I have looked at saltwater which I quite like it can't decide if they are grannyish or not and everyone round here seems to wear them. Might have to resort though if can't find anything!

Those Toms are really similar to saltwaters!

MiniCooperLover · 11/05/2016 20:52

Apparently they are very similar but I would say the Toms are very narrow so won't work if your feet aren't. Mine are relatively narrow but even still they're snug.

Lookdownthesofa · 11/05/2016 21:12

I wish I had seen those Esska ones before I tried on every sandal in town yesterday.

I ended up with these. They fit my criteria of a) being really, really comfy and b) being metallic so they will go with everything. Can't make up my mind if they are OK or completely fugly.

nickdrakeslovechild · 11/05/2016 21:53

And toms Zoe have a slightly more padded sole, the saltwater ones are really thin. I love the toms so much.

marriednotdead · 11/05/2016 22:19

I can't do the thin soles, I've got a moody foot condition similar to PF and usually have to wear Scholl Bioprint styles. These Clarks sandals are less clunky than I usually have to tolerate which makes me very happy. My legs/ankles are skinny and there's no point wearing high fashion if it makes you look like a duck.

ABCAlwaysBeCunting · 12/05/2016 09:04

Gutted.

I bought these, which I really liked:

And the effing ankle straps won't even meet, let alone do up. Why do they make ankle straps so short? :(

Roystonv · 12/05/2016 09:19

Just bought both colours of the Clarks Vivecca Astek, usually do toe post but wanted something a bit smarter. Very comfy and not at all fugly imo. Sorry don't know how to link on Kindle.

abear · 12/05/2016 13:59

After much deliberation and missing out on the Esska Indias in my size I have ordered these, cost a lot more than I would usually spend so crossing fingers I like them as much when they arrive: www.uggaustralia.co.uk/zina/1012342.html?dwvar_1012342_color=GGD#icid=Home_MainWomenSandals_20160419&start=1&cgid=women-sandals-flip-flops

Rinceoir · 12/05/2016 14:36

After listening to everyone here rave about saltwater sandals I got a pair yesterday. Walked 12000 steps so far today and have no blisters so I think they are a winner (little narrow feet, everything gives me awful blisters normally on the first wear). Like the look of the Toms too.

Tethers love your Esska link.

Desperately trying to find Issy in silver but apparently there are none left in my size in the world

Sobs

tethersend · 12/05/2016 22:39

What size are you?

There's some here- you have to 'join' the site, but that just seems to involve giving them your email address...

eleventybillion · 12/05/2016 23:19

I'm a 5 Tethers

Pants - all sold out on that site too.

Why am I always too late for the nice shoes (me and my popular sized feet!!)

tethersend · 13/05/2016 20:55

Would metallic blue work?

eleventybillion · 13/05/2016 21:37

Ooh they are nice Tethers. Will you be my personal t'interweb shopper? Smile

Still slightly obsessed with silver. Found these in a 4 on Amazon. Thought I might try and squeeze my hooves in (sandals always come up big right?!)

Esska Ink

What do you reckon?

AdoraKiora · 14/05/2016 10:26

Those Esska Indias are bloody gorgeous...but I can't justify £75 at the moment Sad.

tethersend · 14/05/2016 13:37

They're nice, eleventy- but I'm not a fan of silver, so might not be the best one to ask... Have you got an esska stockist near you?

TheFairyCaravan · 14/05/2016 14:24

I sent my Clarks ones back because the strap at the back kept falling off my heel. The sole was very cushioned though.

I was really lucky to get these brand new Esska ones on EBay for £35.

Dancergirl · 15/05/2016 09:12

Has anyone seen or tried Ugg sandals? I like their boots but not tried their sandals before. They've got some metallic styles that look nice.

abear · 15/05/2016 12:28

I ordered the Ugg Zina, there is a link above, but they seem to come up small so I have sent them back and an waiting for the larger size to arrive. I hope they fit because I loved them and less chunky than in the photo.

Dancergirl · 15/05/2016 18:26

I really like the look of the Zina and also the Lanette.

bumbleclat · 15/05/2016 18:27

I like New Look beaded sandals, they are wide enough for my massive feet and somehow the intricate beading detracts from the sheer size of my feet.

Dancergirl · 16/05/2016 13:48

Surely I can't be the only one that thinks those Fly London sandals are hideous and not at all stylish?

Nope, me too!

Cakescakescakes · 16/05/2016 13:50

I bought some Blowfish Granola strappy numbers. Can't wear leather so these are next best thing!

Tagetes · 16/05/2016 14:10

Apart from soft cloth espadrilles has anyone found stylish sandals which are bunion-friendly? Mine aren't bad enough to be dealt with but so many sandals seem to have straps in just the wrong place so that the bunion is either 'framed' and appears to stick out even more, or the straps rub it painfully. I would love to find some which make my feet look half-way normal!
