Am after inspiration!

Would like:
-Flat or slight heel (prefer flat)
-Comfortable slightly padded sole ( so many sandals have solid hard thin sole which I find v uncomfortable)
-not grannyish

I have looked at saltwater which I quite like it can't decide if they are grannyish or not and everyone round here seems to wear them. Might have to resort though if can't find anything!

I've ordered these and these. Will keep just one pair....maybe. I have no idea whether they are fugly or not tbh....

ABCAlwaysBeCunting · 09/05/2016 21:13

I'm considering Saltwaters because I want flat sandals for work. Unfortunately, I have wide feet and chunky ankles so anything delicate just looks stupid on me or is insanely uncomfortable. Ankle straps are usually too short as well.

I bought the Mint Velvet Kylie sandals last year which I utterly loved and the straps were generous, but I had to chuck them out because they'd been worn so much.

I was looking at the Steve Madden ones too but wasn't sure if the strap would be long enough.

I really like those Pikolinos Diddly. I really dislike chunky, clumpy sandals and have been told many times on here that my taste in sandals is frumpy because I want practical sandals I can stride around in, but in a more dainty style.

I buy sandals from Clarks every year as I have Size 9 feet and it's tough finding stuff that fits. I also have a pair of red Birkenstocks. I'd LOVE a pair of Saltwaters.

Those Pikalinos look great! I have ordered the Esska India ones linked to earlier on but am tempted by these too....

MsRinky · 09/05/2016 22:34

I love Saltwaters, I have bought a pair every year for the last four years, so now have navy, tan, red and coming soon, rose gold. They are the best for the countryside and the beach and for lazy days.

However, for days when I am clocking up 15,000 steps on city pavements, I need a bit of cork padding. I have these from yokono and art:

If you buy a pair of sandals every year they can't last very well. I will be wearing my Earth Spirit sandals again this year for the 4th year running.

polyhymnia · 09/05/2016 22:40

lana, you have good taste. I also have Geox sandals that could pass for Whistles this year and silver Saltwaters.

I'm presuming she buys a new pair each year but can still wear the old ones...?!

HeckyWithTheGoodBear · 09/05/2016 23:06

SanUK. Yoga style. Got them in Florida last year only available from website shop in Cornwall \Devon area. But they would be SO worth it!

MsRinky · 10/05/2016 07:41

Oh yes, my annual Saltwaters are all still as good as new, I am just collecting colours and wear them in rotation.

ProfFJLewis · 10/05/2016 10:22

Really like that first pair of Pikolinos AverysillyoldHector.

I've bought these from Wrangler via TKMaxx, wearing them today and they are quite comfy (although the sun seems to have disappeared now!):

We never get enough hot weather for me to require lots of sandals. It has to be at least 21 degrees for me to take my socks off.

Dancergirl · 10/05/2016 19:45

phoolani I LOVE the French Connection ones. What colour did you get? Are they comfortable?

Oscarandelliesmum · 10/05/2016 20:05

Love the sanuk ones but only size three left.

WaitrosePigeon · 10/05/2016 20:45

I bought some Ralph Lauren flip flops at the weekend and they are divine!

taybert · 11/05/2016 16:23

Esska India came and they are really lovely as SO comfortable. Thanks for recommending tethersend. I thought they migh go back as they're not cheap. They are not going back.

sammy891 · 11/05/2016 16:53

My Esska India were delivered today too. Amazing quality. Just a bit too narrow and short for my wide feet and unfortunately no size 5.5 in that style. The hunt continues...

taybert · 11/05/2016 17:39

What a shame sammy, they're lovely though aren't they? I initially felt they were quite pricey but all the others I've tried around the £50 mark have been nowhere near as nice and it's not as if they're particularly cheap for a pair of sandals!

MiniCooperLover · 11/05/2016 17:47

DH got me Toms for my birthday and they are very comfortable and I think look really good with jeans and shorts. I like them anyway Smile

I just bought from Amazon and they are very comfy. The wedge heel is only about 1.5 ins so they're just the right height for me for work.

sammy891 · 11/05/2016 20:36

taybert They do look like they are very good quality and the sole is nice and squishy! I've ordered one whole size up and am hoping that will work Smile
