Can't do linen. Those first Winser ones look spot on, thanks nim!

evileyes · 27/05/2016 12:10

If anyone's still looking for white jeans, after ordering and sending back 5 pairs from elsewhere I recently ordered these from Joules and LOVE them. Not at all see through and got loads of compliments in them despite being a size 16 and large of knee.

niminypiminy · 27/05/2016 13:43

Just taken a punt on these Toast carpenter jeans in their 'pre-sale sale'. I've been looking for a pair of high waist, wide leg jeans for a while so hoping these will work. Otherwise I may go to one of the vintage places and get some forties-style high waist jeans.

Floisme · 27/05/2016 15:14

Yowsers I've just tried on the stripey top in niminy's Toast link in a 2nd hand shop! I hadn't realised it was this season and I'm now kicking myself for missing a bargain, even though I looked a bugger in it (too long and colour washed me out).

Nice jeans. Straight leg really are the most flattering shape around - well at least they are on me.

BeJayKayven · 27/05/2016 15:18

Can I join? 😀

I'm looking for slim (not skinny) ankle grazers in black or navy for summer office. Size 16 Apple if that helps?

BeJayKayven · 27/05/2016 16:42

Oh, and thank you to whoever posted about the Laredoute linen, I've been looking for linen vests for layering everywhere and just bought a few from there with 25% off today as well 👍

It's Friday

It's payday

It's the end of term

I am going on a massive online shopping spree when I get home Grin

EnidButton · 27/05/2016 17:32

Not a bargain if it looked crap Flo. You wouldn't have worn it.

Floisme · 27/05/2016 17:35

Enid you are of course absolutely right - thank you Grin

EnidButton · 27/05/2016 17:39

Grin And now you know which shop to look in again for more bargains.

JohnCheese · 27/05/2016 22:00

Went to Marks tonight. Quick look. Tried on these flowery trews and surprisingly was very taken with them. I'm not a flowery, patterned trousers person. But I like 'em. Didn't buy - I'm not sure I like the 7/8 length. Size down at least one size. Nicer irl than the model pic. Didn't see much else there but I didn't have a lot of time.

CointreauVersial · 28/05/2016 13:11

Have just ordered these culottes. I like the fact that they don't look too wide. I won't be standing like the model, though.

Also, these tie-up sandals. I have a tan pair which are mega comfortable and get a lot of wear.

Floisme · 28/05/2016 13:20

Flowery trews are a bit too challenging for me John - stripes are as far as I'll go!

I really like the culottes, Cointreau' I think just-above-the ankle length can be really flattering.

No links from me I'm afraid. I always save a fortune on clothes in the summer months.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/05/2016 13:31

Just bought a drapey cropped jersey jacket thing in a charity shop, for a grand total of £2.24. It looks like it could have come from All Saints, but is from New Look. I'm thinking/hoping it will look good with a cami and skinnies for casual nights out when too warm for a leather biker.

CointreauVersial · 28/05/2016 14:44

Ooh, I love a charity shop. They are my downfall. Jacket sounds nice, Remus.

JackandDiane · 28/05/2016 18:52

on really hot days I never know what to wear out in the evening.
I dont do dresses
I like this look here but wonder about swapping the denim skirt media.getstyled.net/2015/08/sincerely-jules-3.jpg ( bit 'try hard cool mum') for a stretch skirt. maybe in white? - legs are GOOD

Have this sold out Marks top in black. www.marksandspencer.com/linen-blend-lace-trim-vest-top/p/p22446041?prevPage=plp

so it would be black top, tight short skirt to counteract drapey top
legs
and i have the predecessor to these in a dark grey slightly lower

Just bought a pair of shorts from sainsburys. Fit perfectly. Well chuffed. Then bought a ruched scoop neck dress from Boden with 25% off. Not sure as Boden stuff can be about hit and miss and I'm not their usual tall, skinny, flat-chested type Confused

ARichVernacular · 29/05/2016 08:11

I like that look Jack.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 29/05/2016 11:48

I like denim mini skirts still. Not so fond of white. Depends on the rest of the look, I guess, and what you describe sounds nice.

JackandDiane · 29/05/2016 11:58

it might verge on hooker. I will have to see

heel height
tits

So this finally arrived www.topshop.com/en/tsuk/product/clothing-427/dresses-442/long-sleeve-dress-by-glamorous-petites-5495419?bi=560&ps=20

but sadly has to go back. It is see through so while I like the length, colour and long sleeves, I'd describe it more as a beach cover up as a dress.

I'd really like one similar to this but better quality if anybody sees something similar?
