They do, don't they?

It's the sole.

Sad

They look a very, erm, practical shoe.

YvaineStormhold · 08/04/2016 11:01

these?

YvaineStormhold · 08/04/2016 11:02

Oh shit, they're the same. Hang on...

They look like the footwear advertised in saga magazine.

YvaineStormhold · 08/04/2016 11:04

I want some gladiators that don't feel like the sole is made of iron and that don't eat my feet alive.

But I can't find any that don't look like something my nana would wear. If I had a nana.

Sigh.

Help.

Gladiator granny chic

YvaineStormhold · 08/04/2016 11:05

I could rock that, Jooli

Are the second ones as bad?

OP posts:
YvaineStormhold · 08/04/2016 11:05

I like the idea of a gladiator granny, kicking ass at the luncheon club.

OP posts:
Sparrowlegs248 · 08/04/2016 11:05

They do look comfy like old lady gladiators

Jooli · 08/04/2016 11:05

Have a look on the Jones website, they usually have good styles which are well made

HeyNonnyMaybe · 08/04/2016 11:06

Mingalicious, the pair of them.

Might I be so bold as to suggest these? Still comfy but not so fugly.

BestBeforeDate · 08/04/2016 11:07

Definitely the sole that ruins them. I know it makes them comfortable, but so many decent looking shoes are spoiled by those moulded soles.

YvaineStormhold · 08/04/2016 11:08

these, then?

OP posts:
YvaineStormhold · 08/04/2016 11:09

Not so keen on the multicoloured, HeyNonny

I'll have a look at Jones, but their shoes are often too small for me.

OP posts:
HeyNonnyMaybe · 08/04/2016 11:09

Or these beautiful specimens.

HeyNonnyMaybe · 08/04/2016 11:10

The last ones you suggested are nice but too thin a sole for me (porker). The green ones I suggested also come in tan.

BestBeforeDate · 08/04/2016 11:10

I like those last Clarks ones, but they don't look nearly as comfortable as the others! Perpetual dilemma really.

YvaineStormhold · 08/04/2016 11:11

because Maui, lol

OP posts:
YvaineStormhold · 08/04/2016 11:12

Hmm, I quite like those green ones, HeyNonny...

OP posts:
MadameCholetsDirtySecret · 08/04/2016 11:13

The last pair are the best of a very sorry bunch.

MadameCholetsDirtySecret · 08/04/2016 11:14

If you like those ones from Jones have a look at the fit flop site. They have 100's of pairs and are generally considered comfortable.

YvaineStormhold · 08/04/2016 11:15

So what does everyone wear on their feet when they want to be a bit dressier than Birkies?

I've got daytime covered...do I need some glittery flip-flops from Accessorise and be done with it?

OP posts:
LaurieFairyCake · 08/04/2016 11:15

Gosh they look comfy
