Shorts or dress? Out tonight (pics inc)

Going to theatre/dinner tonight and not sure what to wear, choices so far are a black wool tube dress and suede stiletto boots or print shorts with black opaques, jumper and ankle boots. Any thoughts?

You look great in both, but I think I'd edge towards the dress.

FauxFox · 08/04/2016 10:45

I think i'm leaning towards the dress...I feel slightly mutton in the shorts (am 38)...

I love the shorts and tights look. And I like those shorts. So I'll say "shorts".

Cakescakescakes · 08/04/2016 10:46

Shorts! Lovely.

GeezeLouiseBelcher · 08/04/2016 10:46

Shorts.

ItGoesWithoutSaying · 08/04/2016 10:46

PS. There's nothing "mutton" about your look. I'm a bit more than older than you and I'd wear it.

LunaLunaLovegood · 08/04/2016 10:46

I love those shorts, where are they from?

Both outfits are lovely [no help]

Botchit · 08/04/2016 10:49

I would say shorts. I think the dress looks a little odd with the boots. I think both outfits look a little wintery to be honest. What about the dress with different shoes or the shoes with a top other than polo neck? You could add a jacket too to the shorts to make it dressier? You have a fabulous figure.

FauxFox · 08/04/2016 10:49

Thank you! Blush

The shorts are Zara, I have not worn shorts since I was a child but they were £8 in the sale so I gave them a go...I have worn them out once so far and DH thought I was dressed like Taylor Swift (he meant it as a compliment Hmm)

Shorts.

RavioliOnToast · 08/04/2016 10:50

Shorts!

FauxFox · 08/04/2016 10:51

But it's still freezing Botchit I don't want to be walking around London post-theatre going all blue (wimp emoticon)

The dress looks too dressy with courts...I would add a camel leather biker jacket if I wore the dress, a big black wrap thingy with the shorts...

Looks like shorts win...DD says dress but she is 11 and probably wants the shorts for herself Grin
