Shorts or dress? Out tonight (pics inc)

Going to theatre/dinner tonight and not sure what to wear, choices so far are a black wool tube dress and suede stiletto boots or print shorts with black opaques, jumper and ankle boots. Any thoughts?

Wow thanks everyone - I had no idea the shorts would get such a positive response - I clearly need to wear them more often! Would that outfit be ok on a day time outing do you think? (I mean lunch out and 'nice' shopping not park and lidl obv ) or is it evening only?

Look at the other thread on shorts and tights. I think it would be fine as a daytime outfit. Works for me (I hope!)

You also need to go out and buy more shorts !
