I'd have to ban Crocs, unless they're on small children.

Impulse body spray..stinks

Anyone else?

I love bright red lipstick. Those pics are fab.

GarlicShake · 09/04/2016 18:13

These are my real lips. I'm old so they've shrunk and lost a lot of colour - but they're still not beige! Sure, beige lipstick can look great but natural it is not!

niminypiminy · 09/04/2016 18:18

Sorry Gwen I think that second red lip you linked to is lovely and would wear that shade myself, whereas the nude one offends my eyes - I think of that look as Kardashian beige. But if it floats your boat...

MamaLazarou · 09/04/2016 18:19

Tinted balm or the aforementioned MLBB lipstick look nice and natural, though, and not just like you have put foundation on your lips, which is what beige lipstick looks like to me.

JackandDiane · 09/04/2016 20:39

way prefer the RED that gwen linked to

Gwenhwyfar · 09/04/2016 21:03

You're all saying you like the red lipstick. Look at her face though. She looks ill with the contrast between bright red lipstick and a pale face.

JackandDiane · 09/04/2016 21:03

no it looks modern and cool

HanHanHanHan · 09/04/2016 21:13

Red lipstick is modern and cool on younger women. On older women it just ages them.

squoosh · 09/04/2016 21:18

There should be questions raised in parliament about nude lipsticks. So universally unflattering.

I love red lipstick and if I had wonderfully plumptious lips I'd wear it all the time! Don't agree that it necessarily ages older women either. Worn with heavy eye makeup and stripey blusher perhaps, but I work with a woman in her early 60s who has silver hair and red lips. She looks fantastico!

JackandDiane · 09/04/2016 21:18

i disagree to a point.
with hard eyeliner yes.
With a really good foundation and the correct colour it looks great

JackandDiane · 09/04/2016 21:19

but tbh - who gives a fuck

squoosh · 09/04/2016 21:20

Indeed!

motherinferior · 09/04/2016 21:48

I'm buggered if I'm going to go for tasteful neutral just because I'm 52.

Floisme · 09/04/2016 23:50

What the fucking fuck? My mum wore red lipstick in her 90s and it looked great.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 09/04/2016 23:53

She doesn't look ill at all. Looks gorgeous, but maybe a little bit too thin. It's nothing to do with the lipstick.

MamehaSan · 10/04/2016 09:25

I dont think anyone's mentioned winter coats with 3/4 length sleeves yet. I dont understand the point of them. If it's cold enough for a wool coat, it's cold enough to not have your arms out. I blame Kate Middleton.

whattheseithakasmean · 10/04/2016 09:28

Or even worse, those currently fashionable formal type jackets/coats with no sleeves - they defy comprehension (remains resolutely light hearted).

amazinggrace2001 · 10/04/2016 09:34

For men:- that hipster beard and slicked back quiff look like David Beckham especially on older blokes, waistcoats, hipster hats, falling down jeans, sleeve tattoos.

On women- sensible shoes like Hotter, Clarks, fleeces with Wolves on, middle aged Bob hairdos, those middle classy smock tops and dresses from Fatface, Boden, White Stuff etc. Anything Cath Kidston, badly dyed plum or jet black hair, middle class blonde highlights- they make everyone look the same, Fitflops. Not bothered about too tight clothes, body con dresses, Uggs, fake tan, leopard print etc. I like the 50s style but think it's a bit overdone now and can't stand that 40's 50's hairstyle with the pin curls!

Mominatrix · 10/04/2016 10:07

Perfect example of an extremely stylish elderly lady with red lipstick. Iris Apfel probably breaks every one of the Style 101 rules, but she is someone who truly does has Style.

Mominatrix · 10/04/2016 10:12

A more current red-lipped elderly lady - isn't she fab!

Mominatrix · 10/04/2016 10:15

Oops, realised I mistyped above - I wrote "more-current" because I forgot a post in-between with a picture of Dian Vreeland, another red-lipped loving older lady of style.

snowymountaintops · 10/04/2016 10:19

Palermo 'rocks this trend' - I can't stand the language of fashion sometimes

Nail 'art'

notamummy10 · 10/04/2016 12:33

NotDead do you mean DIY nail art or all nail art?
